I had to stare at that screenshot for a solid minute before I saw the turn in the fence at the bottom. It looked like a gap to me at first too. That's definitely a weird optical illusion.

I am still trying to figure out why the engineer put the support beams on the outside of the fence.

Seen the show twice last night and both times I was Oh there's a wall missing only to see it's illusion of some sort where the gate angles in.

Either way those walls, don't appear to hold a runaway golf cart, let along fast car with a gas barrels in the back seat! A moat would have gone a long way here.

You do know that all those walls and beams are made of steel, and the beams are dug deep into the ground. It gonna take a good amount of hits to make a hole into that wall.

What makes you think someone would want to drive a Mack truck into the walls? Deana can't imagine that possibility so everything is a-okay the way it is.

Not it they are dug 10 feet deep, 7 feet apart, but yes, maybe on TV, anything is possible, just like the group doesn't know Father Gabriel is a F'n rat yet.

Aren't those beams just leftover from when the wall was built? I thought they are normally they are in place until the concrete cures to stabalize the wall. Then they are removed.

No, that was the "w" group most likely. There was a W carved into the forehead of the walker on the tree. Of course we don't know where Morgan is either and I believe his weapon of choice outside of Long range gun is a sword (I think). Gabriel doesn't have the "guys" to kill walkers unless forced to and even then he does a poor job at it. There is no way he'd want to leave those walls of he didn't have to.

Removal of the angle supports would weaken the Wall .. inside or outside, they at least provide some additional strength ..

When they had the crew out gathering more "corrugated steel wall sections", the gauge on that stuff looked pretty thin to me ...

Does AMC do the webepisodes still? The reason I asks was when they showed the lady tied up on the tree, I got the impression she might of been from another story line from a web short stories how they focus on her face.

One of the HUGE differences in the comic vs the TV show... is way back during the Governor storyline, Rick loses one of his hands. Kirkman said he regrets writing that, so when the time came in the TV show they didn't do that bit.

But it makes a BIG difference in a lot of things you apply to Rick. One armed Rick is more sympathetic than able-bodied Rick. One armed Rick getting his butt kicked by an abusive drunk guy is more sympathetic than healthy Rick. It makes the story play out differently even if they do it the same. Rick comes across as a lot more of a self-centered ass now in the TV show. In the comic, he still goes off the rails a little BUT you can attribute some of it to compensating for his own handicap. Comic Rick feels weaker with one hand, and sometimes seems like he overcompensates for that. TV Rick just comes off as an ass.

Rick is still not on Shane level... but it's a greyer area on the TV show than it is in the comic storyline, in no small part due to the difference in just that one bit... Rick being fully able-bodied on TV.

I agree that the legitimacy of Rick's motives notwithstanding, he went too far when he started waving that gun around. They've got trouble, trouble, trouble right here in River City, er, Alexandria.

I think this theory that the "W" is really an "M"...and that it might actually be Morgan's way of clearing and tracking things now...THAT is a story line that I would enjoy! Hell...I would take a mini-season of WTF Morgan has been doing this whole time since we last saw him in his rat-trap city block. We know he is ghosting the group in some capacity, but to what extent and what motivation? That would make a killer mid-off-season series I think.
