As a curiosity... but I never have liked comics based on TV shows I liked to watch.

I tried reading the Buffy comic, but it just wasn't the same as watching the show on TV.

Now I do like comics... and I'll watch TV or movies based on comics... but I just can't make myself go the other way around.

Yeah baby!  It's Halloween!

I wonder if this new season be an "interactive" one (voices, sound fx). Maybe we'll find out where the heck Kara was hiding during all the excitement of the finale. I guess Manhunter laid back to let Kal-El have his grand introduction and fulfill his destiny..

I still think the Zod finale of S9 was the best one. That whole season was great IMO. Hope they touch on Zod coming back, maybe the real one this time, not the clone.

Kara traveled to the future at the end of that one episode and was not heard from since.

You can never judge a show by its pilot episode or the half season following it.

Anyone know the schedule for the new season 11 in this new format? Same as the rest of the new releases in the Fall?

I would assume it is a monthly comic book... from whatever point the first issue comes out... it should be one issue a month.

I haven't seen the schedule spelled out completely, but it has been announced that it begins digitally in April, with the print version starting in May. I'm assuming that there will be shorter, weekly chapters released online, which will then be collected in the print version, maybe four installments each. The print editions should be published monthly.

Smallville S11 comic comes out in print today (already out in digital). It continues from where the show left off.

XBOX Live: Wagmman
PSN: Wagg
BFBC2: Wagman
Steam: Wag

My Second Life character looks and acts exactly like me except he can fly.

I've read 5 comic episodes so far... story line is OK, graphics are OK, but they seem to be having a hard time capturing Erica and Tom's image faithfully...

It wouldn't surprise me if DC got cheap and did not license their likenesses for the comic.

Just noticed Erica Durance, or whatever her name is, the actress who played Lois, has a large role in some new drama on one of the networks, NBC or ABC. Not exactly sure of the premise, but some guy she loves is in a coma yet he is able to see what's going on around him. Just caught an episode preview in passing.

Mourning the disappearance of the -ly suffix. Words being cut-off before they've had a chance to fully form, left incomplete, with their shoelaces untied and their zippers undone. If I quote your post (or post in your thread) without comment, please check your zipper.

It's Saving Hope, which airs on CTV and NBC. It also has Michael Shanks (of Stargate SG-1 fame, and who also appeared in Smallville as Hawkman).

I just recently finished watching the last two seasons of Smallville as I didn't have time to keep up when they aired. I really enjoyed season 9 to the point when I got to the season ender I wished there was another disc or two as I really enjoyed the dynamics between Clark and Zod during the season. The final season had its moments but lacked the intensity that season 9 had. It felt like many episodes were just filling in time with meaningless plots that didn't put any sense-able closure to the series leading to the end. I still enjoyed the ride no doubt but I felt like it could have been better if you know what I mean. On that note I never expected to see Welling in a full Supes suit ever so I wasn't shocked at all when I saw the obvious CGI Supes flying around on the final episode. I could have done without the prolonged pre-wedding vows tho that seemed to went on for an eternity.

Yes, 9 was the best season since 5; everything in between was mostly hit/miss.

I'd agree - the tension between Clark and Zod was almost as good as between him and Lex. Although with Zod, there was usually an underlying threat to Clark's mortality in most episodes...

I enjoyed the tension between Clark and Zod because it felt like a breath of fresh air to the show. Yeah season 9 wasn't perfect but wow was it exciting to watch.
