This show has bounced around so much but still finds an audience. In the DVR era it doesn't matter to me when it's on, my DVR finds it and I watch it when I have time. I just watched the 5/5 airing last night.

^ Thank God for that. I think CBS was bluffing the whole time... it was never going to air on Saturday.

Picked up for 13 episodes next season which will bring its run to a syndication friendly 100. No spot on the schedule yet.

I don't catch this show often, but I thought the season finale was very funny...

Don't ever make the MISTAKE of buying a Samsung TV..
They consider THIS
normal on a two month old set..

For those of you that missed the several promotions during the Super Bowl last night, "Rules" new season starts tonight as a mid-season replacement once again.

Unfortunately, they opened the season with a story centered around their weakest character. This show can do better than cat scat and anal glands humor.

… but how much better?

Meanwhile, Brenda's still pregnant, and the surrogacy story has dragged out so long that Sara Rue is playing a pregnant character on on ABC sitcom ("Malibu Country") as well and is apparently pregnant in real life.

No kidding, this plot has gone on longer than Joe's wife's pregnancy on Family Guy...

Oh the pregnancy is nothing. We're in season seven and Adam and Jennifer are still just engaged.

Some couples do stay engaged for years, so that part isn't so bad.

Do you personally know anybody who is engaged for seven years? I don't. While of course unmarried people commonly live together for decades or whole lifetimes, it's pretty unusual for people to be engaged that long. By seven years, people have generally pulled the trigger on the marriage, or split up.

Personally, no, present nor past (except for childhood sweethearts who needed to wait for legal and financial independence, but one cannot count those in this discussion, because Jennifer and Adam were already adults out on their own by the start of the series); however, I've heard of some long engagements.

Yes, it is unusual.  If you're saying that the show should have acknowledged the passage of time by at least having someone remark on the prolonged Morgan-Rhoades engagement, I agree.

Why do you assume that the passage of time on the show equals the calendar years it's been on? Some shows only represent a day, while others have been several days, so in show time it could only be a couple of years or less. There have only been 100 episodes.

I don't recall on ROE but many shows will include a Xmas theme episode. On those shows the passage of time is evident.

We don't.  But RoE has been stretching it more than most.

Okay, so we are up to their wedding day and the baby is coming, the series finale is around the corner. A couple of weeks ago I got the feeling that the baby would be born on their wedding day.

I have been watching this show in syndication and somewhat enjoying it. Timmy has his moments, but for the most part he was funny the first time you see him and not so much as time goes on. The guys are pretty good although Adam's stupid persona can get annoying. Honestly, the only thing that I really dislike about the show is the fat old chick that Jeff is married to.
