He'll be back this season. I read an article with David Crane where he said they wanted to explore what happens to a guy like that when he loses everything.

I agree with this. I found myself laughing out loud more than a few times tonight. I liked how carried away Bev got with Sean's movie metaphor. Also LOL'd at "F**k you, Carol!"

Although we knew what was going to happen as soon as Carol hugged Castor the expression on her face was great. And Merc pitching all the ideas he shot down when he was in charge was funny. All in all good episode.

I'm enjoying Matt when he's more of an ass, but I really don't like Castor. He's just too weird in the show and the endless masturbation stuff was as tiring to watch as it was for the character.

Agree on Castor. Hope his arc is short lived. I don't think Matt gets all the credit he deserves for doing a really nice job playing a variation on himself, warts and all.

I did enjoy the Leno and Matt confrontation over the Lamborghini. Leno getting really annoyed made me laugh.

Although I think the Leno cameo was on target for the story, I was kind of surprised how lousy of an actor he is.

I never realized what a strange looking dude he is. He really is his own caricature!

Seems like the air has been let out of this show. Castor is a terrible addition and does not fit with the show.

Oh, well. Seasons 1 and 2 are solid.

I thought the new spin on the Vagina Monologues was hilarious.

Yeah, Vagina Yoda made me laugh. I really like the Matt and Merc conflict too, that's got potential.

Castor was slightly better this week. If they tone him done to just be a guy with a random raging boner that would be a better fit. Too weird doesn't work on this show.

I agree with this. The show's strength has always been that it's characters seemed grounded in some kind of reality, maybe not mine, but believable. A guy who talks to egg cartons is just too out there.

Mircea's storyline ramps up a little next week, should be interesting!

I really enjoyed Matt this week. He's so unfazed by the reactions of Bev and Sean just rolls with whatever he says. Well, maybe not vagina dimensions. biggrin.gif

I wished they would bring Merc back and give Morning something to do. Castor does nothing and the agent isn't particularly funny. Although the walking desk made me laugh, but that was more because it's the first time I've ever seen one being used.

Agree about Castor doing nothing, especially not being funny and it's a shame that Morning and Merc are hardly in the show at all. Matt being upset about his stalker finding someone else was a nice touch.

Yeah it was a pretty good finale that rescued this show IMO. They started out good then seemed to lose track with Castor but the last couple of eps I felt got it back on track. Nice to know that Merc doesn't harbor any grudge toward Matt lol.

This was the only time Castor made me laugh. That came too late for the character in every respect.

I enjoyed the twist of Puck's being renewed because I was expecting next season to be a new show. That means next season nobody will be happy to be back on set. I enjoyed Bev doing her Carol rant about the cup too.

But you don't see S&B coming back for just 6 episodes.

When they were talking about selling their new show, Sean said that if they were going to put it on the air, he would want to run it, rather than just sell the script/concept and have someone else run it.

Often networks will fire show runners and hire someone else, so it's rare that show creators would get that power.

But with 3 networks competing for it, he could probably dictate terms and maybe the carrot of doing a show on their terms would be what gets them to come back to LA.

Based on Pucks getting a further episode order they will all still be under contract and number of episode commitment, so they have to go back to LA or get sued for breaching. Since it was never officially cancelled (and pulled before it could officially end it's run) they are all still employed by the network. Unless they come up with a loophole in their fictitious contracts that gets them out of it.

Exactly which is why they will all be back. A lawsuit could hold up them doing anything, whether it's Matt, S&B or Morning, and could cost a lot of money in lawyers fees. Wonder if Carol will get to run the network this time around.

Yeah the network could litigate over a show that they were going to cancel anyways, with the defendants on another continent.

Or they could hire someone else to finish up the run and still achieve Eliot's objective of denying NBC.

My god, Castor was soooo worth that yolo hail mary. LOL

I really don't think ALL network's realize how ironic his brilliant speech was... As well as really how well his character symbolizes networks in general...

Great finale.

Think I fell out of this show rolleyes.gif
Probably only watched one full episode this season. May have to deal with other TV series that on at the same time, and I don't catch it on the DVR since I've been busy lately.

I really did expect that it would be "The Opposite of Us" that would drag Sean and Beverly back to Los Angeles, and the ending came as a complete surprise to me.

Unless they're on the hook as showrunners, though, in addition to being writers, couldn't they crank out six more scripts of "Pucks!" from London?

Either way, it will cost me money, as I'll need to add Showtime back to my cable service for a while when Season 4 rolls around.
