I'm curious why this series is not shown in the USA. I watched a few episodes and it's a decent show. Not only good but some nice eye candy too!

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1429449/

Summary:
A daring new series about mysterious young Bo, a succubus who drains the sexual energy of humans to feed, heal... and kill. Having survived for years alone, she now discovers she is one of the Fae, creature!

I'm enjoying it also!!! Also, enjoy "Misfits" from England. Another interesting series.

I've been watching both of those shows. There is a bit of a mythology problem with "Lost Girl" however; and they could, of course, bring that error into the story line but I think it is probably poor research on the part of the creators.

As far as I can find in research, a succubus is a "Demon", which is not Fae. And the were-wolf detective is also not Fae. Most of the others are indeed Fae. I envisioned a plot line about her going undiscovered for so long and there being a great mystery about her origin that led me to hope that the fact that she is actually a Demon would upset the heck out of the Fae community and could lead to some unique stories.

Sturgeon's Law: "Nothing is always absolutely so."
Sturgeons Revelation: "Ninety percent of everything is crud."
My Thoughts: "A reasoned argument must share some basic common points."

recorded, watched 40 min & erased the ep & the dvr series record.

other than the eye candy & sexual innuendo which was nice

....for me it wasn't even close in watchability or having interesting characters as Haven. even Sanctuary for me was more interesting to watch & it was getting stale this season.

Sorry I don't mean to offend here, I hope you & others enjoy watching it. we all have different tastes it was OK but didn't hold my interest, even with eye candy

to me, the show was trying way too hard to take itself seriously with the tough gal with attitude, alpha-female thing. and the goofy girl pickpocket with the cell phone camera following Bo who's abducted in a van from a building to a glass factory clearly a distance away & all on foot - right

by the time 30 min passed the show turned into a caricature of other supernatural wannabes - complete with guys that bare werewolf fangs at the slightest provocation like a Nicholas Tesla imitation - too funny

True Blood, it ain't

Unfortunately, I decided I'm out before it even began

SyFy - something greater - if only....
I guess I have to wait for the upcoming BSG spin-off & 3rd season of Haven (sigh)

but those who like the show, that's cool

Steve

Yeah till they flesh her (bo) out about the 4th episode or so it is boring. I watched all 2 season in a week or so and fell for it.

Oh well

The first show was really bad with a lot of bad series cliques especially with the human friend. I am going to give it a couple more tries with the theory that they were trying too hard in the first show and that things might be better.

I've watched two episodes on SyFy and you know what? I like it. Good eye candy. I'm interested in the backstory. I like that they speak like regular people do ("Holy shitballs!"). Not super awesome but watchable. This and Being Human back to back make Monday evenings a good DVR night.

I admit I have a 'colored' view. Watched both seasons over 2 weeks. It's does get better and they settle in to the story line. It's a shame it was not shown on US tv a bit ago but oh well.

The season continues to be interesting... although season 1 is apparently almost over. Anyone know if SyFy will start showing season 2 right away (to catch up considering they're a few years behind) or whether they'll make us wait?

I continue to watch it as basically amusing trash. I really think that Kenzi is cute but her character is incredibly annoying. It puts me in position of leering and cringing at the same time.

Awesome, good to know. I'm not near my DVR so I can't see what if anything is scheduled to record in upcoming weeks and I haven't watched the S1 finale yet.

What is with the censoring on tonight's episode on SYFY?

The rating for the show had been TV-MA and now it's TV-14. They took out some of the language, it was obvious at one point when they changed it to "stuff" because her mouth said something different, who knows what else was cut.

I have been worried they would censor it up. Seems they started. Not much but just a bit it seems.
