I'm ok with shows that advance the story over the hiatus and slowly bring us up to speed... but it's hard to do when you take most of a year between seasons and then confuse us not just with stuff that happens during the hiatus BUT jump another 4 months time during the opening segment!

Yeah baby!  It's Halloween!

Well, Moon is back from maternity leave - boy is she ever! She goes from a reluctant doctor to badass and remorseless gorilla fighter in those 4 months. Does anyone else find this transformation jarring?

OTOH, her pituitary-in-overdrive daughter has turned into quite the hottie. Wonder if she'll stay in this state, as most shows would do without any explanation, or continue to age into old-cronehood and then die? I'd have a lot more respect for this show if it's the latter.

Yeah. That doesn't mean it isn't a complete ripoff of Adria from SG1.

Those post-menopausal hormones can really make some women crazy ...

I'm hoping Ms. Pituitary gets a bullet in the head ... real soon. The whole concept is really pulling this show way off course!

No real surprise there as with a slowly moving show you can't have a major character child outgrowing the storyline.

As far as quickly growing children - Earth: Final Conflict did it as well before SG1 did. And the 4400 did it before that. And of course Angel got around it by having Connor taken to a hell dimension until he was a teenager.

This splitting the group into 4 storylines really thins out each episode and seems like a bad idea. I hope they collapse a few of those storylines soon.

As far as the re-education camp - I am really tired of seeing those.

Tom completely covered as a ghost is a nice way to give work to some stunt man.

After seeing the first episode I am unimpressed as it seems we have taken way too many steps backwards. Still, we only have 11 more episodes this season -- maybe it can get somewhere interesting.

And don't forget 'True Blood' last season with the 3 fairy sisters . Although, to be fair, they did kill off a couple of them before the season ended.

New to the show here. Binge watched the first three seasons to catch up to the new premiere. Was serious underwhelmed. The new alien allies just left? And the leader of the alien allies who was so grateful to have his son back, left his son? What?

And the fast growing alien/human offspring that grows at an accelerated rate like in a half dozen other stories. Of course she will save the world...

Maybe her rapid rate of growth will continue and she'll die of old age by the end of the season.

I just watched the first episode of this season and was really confused for a while. It seemed like Tom was in his cage, and then not.

We got it straightened out eventually, though. I'll keep watching the show.

So, now it appears the Espheni have actually been doing all of this invading in order to get resources and soldiers to fight an even bigger bad menace?

They sure don't know the proper way to ask for help.

Oh and would someone kill the cockroach already. Useless ass Pope. Actually a good ending since these Aliens are all so much further advanced would be the truth. Eliminate all of us humans. THE END.

Clearly, they felt that the Earthers could not be of any help whatsoever in the fight against this supreme enemy ..... just the resources of the planet.

And if that "revelation" is true, then why aren't they allies with the "Cochise" faction ... unless ... the Cochise faction is the first wave (to soften up the Espheni) of the real attack force that the Espheni eluded to? That would explain why they left .. the next wave is on the way?

Or ... they are making it up as they go and shame on us for trying to make sense of it?

To be fair... I did bring this up as a plot point a while back... I'm not sure I believed it then or now... but I did say (when we first saw the new aliens in the cliffhanger a couple of years back) that they might be a worse enemy.

The way this show goes, they could also add in another new alien race at some point... why stop at two?

Yeah baby!  It's Halloween!

It has been working for them so far, so they saw no reason to stop now. Desperate times call for desperate measures.

The problem is, when you're at war, the last thing you want is to have another war to get the resources for your battle. Make no mistake, they're expending a ton of resources fighting humans. It's not just the battles, either. They seem to love keeping vast numbers of humans alive in prison camps to do absolutely nothing to aid the war effort. They feed them and guard them with their own personnel as well as ships that have to hover overhead that supply power to electronic fencing. I seriously wonder how much they're getting out of Earth and the humans compared to the resources they have to expend to quell the rebellion - and that's not even taking into account the initial war to take over.

Further, these guys are idiots. If I were them, Tom would be dead. He causes them nothing but grief. He dies, so does the cause. Every time he's out of the fight, the human war effort grinds to a halt. If he died, I'm not sure the people would stand up and avenge him. They don't seem to know how unless he tells them.

At least in "V" (at least the original, anyway - I hated the remake), the aliens harvested us for food, which was at least a good excuse to keep humans alive.
