Also appears to be the Monday Night Football crew doing this game. Looks pretty good production wise.

Nice to see ESPN showing restraint not having the bottomline. PQ however looks like typical lackluster NFL MNF i'm used to seeing.

Solid audio mix. PQ is about average for ESPN, not as bad as the Fiesta Bowl but not as good as some of the better games they've had this winter.

Agreed. Colors are a bit over-saturated, even for my taste.

I would agree with that. Seems like a typical MNF broadcast to me. I'll be interested in seeing how PQ looks from New Orleans tonight.

another reason why automatic qualifying conferences are stupid, teams should get in on BCS rankings alone and we won't have uconn and va tech again... or the seattle seahawks

The picture quality was so bad I couldn't see a single tatoo on the Stanford team

What a nice change of pace

I strongly think a team should at least be in the top 16 of the Final BCS to qualify. Last night was more a case of Stanford being very good than VaTech being bad. Uconn didn't deserve to be there. Just my opinions.

+ 1

Stanford played Oregon in Eugene and dominated in the 1st half, then broke down in the 2nd. No knock on the Ducks, but I think a Stanford rematch would be a toss up. They are the most complete 1 loss team I've seen this year taking into consideration QB, OL, DL, ST and scheme on both sides of the ball. They lack speed in comparison, but offset with smarts and physicality. 1/2 of football is the only difference I see between Auburn, Oregon and Stanford...not necessarily in that order. A playoff sure would be nice.

I don't lurk as much as I used to and I NEVER listen. Comes from being old and cynical.

I agree. Stanford could probably beat oregon in a rematch if the game was played at home instead of the road.

To me they are clearly the better team than Tcu and should end up ranked no
lower than #3 when the final rankings come out.
And by the way, the big 10 really sucked this year. Only Ohio state has won
a bowl game and it took like 4 turnovers from Arkansas for them to be able to pull it off.

Tcu barely beat a very flawed Wisconsin team. Not to impressive to me.
Stanford trounced a team from
West Virginia that I think is a far better team than Wisconsin

You mean the first half "domination" Stanford showed by ending up leading by seven (31-24) based in large part on a couple loose turnovers by Oregon? Yeah, that was pretty impressive alright...

The second half onslaught the Ducks laid on Stanford to the tune of 26 points while the Cardinal were, well, totally shut out; where Stanford even resorted to faking injuries (cough*Chase Thomas*cough) in an attempt to slow them, now that was somewhat closer to what most people would consider domination . Yes it was just one half. But Oregon's MO this season has been putting teams away in the 3rd and 4th quarters after half time defensive adjustments and as the opposition wears down from their fast pace.

Stanford did have a very good team this year though. Luck has become a great QB and they had a lot of size with speed. It's too bad they may likely lose Luck and possibly Harbaugh as well for next season.

Stanford announced this morning, 1/6, that Luck will stay in school and GRADUATE with his class in '12.

Isn't THAT refreshing!!??

Harbaugh? Who knows. Quite a bit of money is being thrown at him apparently.

I heard that earlier today. That's great for Stanford fans. It doesn't seem to sound so likely for Harbaugh staying but you never know...
