Once they were almost clones of each otherm they now bear almost no resemblance to each other. The first season, I liked the UK ver much better, but it has all but self destructed, while the US version seems to have held together much better.

I'm surprised there's no chatter about this show. This season is holding up fine (although admittedly I'm still a few episodes behind). Good stuff and nice twists so far. Am I the only one still watching?

I just recently threw in the towel.

A) Don't like the vampire; he breaks the various vampire rules, he murders people left and right, he's not very interesting, and his blonde maker he took care of previously but keeps returning in various ways I really don't like.

B)Werewolf's okay, but it's hard to say where his character is headed. GF okay too. The father werewolf is extremely annoying.

C) Sally's okay, but whatever hex she is under is incomprehensible in its rules. Plus, I had enough of sinister witch before in True Blood.

Too many commercials.

Can't take it any more. And missed SMASH by accident but I think I'm taking that as an omen to drop that too.

Got into the show a month or two ago. Caught up on Netflix and then some repeats. I'm really liking it. I saw the British version when it first came out but then it lost me. Watched the first couple of these shows and gave up. I really like where its gone. I thought the Sally character is not as good as the British version but really like Josh and Aiden.

Thanks to this thread- I watched the first two episodes last night- I liked what I saw. I remember Adian from his role of "Crashdown" on Battlestar Galactica.
Just downloaded the remaining 11 episodes of season one.

Thanks!

Quick question for those that watched the last episode. I may be remembering it incorrectly, however i thought Josh's sister already new that he was a wolf. Or am i wrong? I thought she saw him transform in the hospital, or something like that.

I was confused too. Didn't he go to his parent's house and they found out? I guess sis wasn't there. But why wouldn't he clue her in too? Or am I mixing up the UK version with this one?

I get the UK and US versions mixed up sometimes too. I see all the UK Episodes are on Hulu. UK and US versions are on Netflix.

From Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Being_Human_%28North_American_TV_series%29_characters#Josh_Levison

Joshua "Josh" Levison (Sam Huntington) is the American counterpart of George Sands. He is a neurotic, socially awkward hospital worker with a heart of gold who suffers from being a werewolf; transforming once a month on every full moon. In the first episode, it is revealed that he chose to leave his family because of his situation, having been gone from them for about 2 years now. Josh wavers between wanting a normal life, and feeling that he needs to isolate himself as much as possible because that life is impossible for him because of what he is. He ends up finding his sister one day at the hospital, who was visiting her girlfriend, and she tries to find out why he left and pry herself back into his life. Josh tries to distance himself as much as possible from her, for fear of what might happen if she finds out what he is. One full moon, however, she follows him to the place he transforms in, determined to find out what he is trying to hide from her. Josh tries to get her to leave only for her to shut the door and still try to stay. Full of fear that he might kill her once in his wolf state, he calls Aidan and Sally for help, and Aidan ends up coming to the rescue to pull her out just in time. He tells her that Josh has some unspecified medical condition, and takes her away to safety. The following day when Emily tries to talk to Josh about what happened, Josh rejects his sister and tells her not to contact him again for her own good.

I started binge watching Being Human about 3 weeks ago on Amazon Instant Video. I hadn't seen a single episode before. I got so hooked that last night I bought a Vudu season 4 pass in HDX so I could watch the most recent episodes in the highest quality. A few days ago I found out that it's been canceled. Ouch.

One thing that binge watching does is to let you slide right past the weak episodes and appreciate the good ones that much more. I had to do a search to find this thread, and I was a little surprised to see so little traffic. Guess the crowd here at AVS never really embraced this series. For whatever reason, it never pulled me in, either. But I love the young cast, especially Meaghan Rath as Sally and Sam Huntington as Josh. They're equally adept at drama and comedy. I loved the last episode, "Rewind, Rewind." The acting, the music, the use of the sepia toned freeze frames - good stuff.

I don't like this feeling. I barely stick my toes in this little gene pool and they pull the plug. Grrrrrr.

Shame this show is cancelled. We really like it and we love the humor in it, Josh is particularly funny with his reactions. I also liked the alternate reality, was refreshing change of episodes.

I look forward to seeing where they take the final episodes.

The first three seasons of Being Human are available in Amazon Instant Video for no additional fee with Amazon Prime. The original BBC series is also there, plus all 5 seasons of Eureka.

Guess it's just you and me, William. biggrin.gif

I re-watched last Monday's episode on Vudu. I thought it was one of the most emotionally compelling hours I've seen on television in recent memory. Three scenes stood out for me: the scene where Josh tells Aidan and Sally that he has no place in the house and he's moving out (a powerful performance by Sam Huntington); the scene where Sally realizes that her "meddling" in time has changed Aidan to the point that he's giving up on Josh (mesmerizing, soulful and stirring work by Meghan Rath); and, the scene where Sally is struck in the head by Ray at the end. What a wonderful episode - and by far my favorite of the series. So far anyway, it's winding down beautifully. I wonder, though, if Syfy gave the producers time to provide some closure. After all, they yanked the rug out from under Eureka unceremoniously - and only reluctantly gave them one final episode to wrap things up. I've read almost nothing about this show, so I don't understand the production timeline at all.

I'm still watching it. Monday is nice because I watch Bitten and then Being Human. Like both shows pretty well. I'm not sure I'm crazy about last week's sorta reboot.

I think it might be a single episode (maybe two) "reboot" - just guessing. No matter, I really like alternate reality story lines. I thought Meghan Rath was spectacularly good. I love it when an actor can take me from tears to tears of laughter within minutes. She did it several times in this episode.

I really enjoyed the "Rewind, Rewind" episode

The next episode is "Too Far, Fast Forward" - Sally tries to right her wrongs and free herself from the past she's stuck in, but the only way she can figure on doing that is by magically transporting herself to the present and seeking the aid of an old foe.

Also, some good Behind the Scenes videos - http://www.syfy.com/videos/Being%20Human/Inside%20Being%20Human

Wife walked in and just missed Anne taking over the big dude, then kissing Adian. Never watch the show had to explain to the scene to her.
Funny stuff. Hate to see the show go.

Here's my guess about what may be a key plot point in the final two episodes: I think we'll find out that Ramona has been largely responsible for the deaths in the Boston brownstone. Not much of a stretch, really. I think it's obvious that the scratches on the floor in her bedroom represent the total number of people killed in the house, including herself. That tally went from 6 to 15 at the end of the "Ramona the Pest" episode - as Josh's wolf gave the stairwell and downstairs a bloodbath with the other werewolves who had come to take him away. This would absolve Aidan to a certain degree for killing the two girls he used to heal his "son" Henry after Suren skinned him. And it would lessen the burden of Sally's having shredded other ghosts with the "Reaper" side of her personality. Thematically, it would represent the nurture vs nature debate. Nature is the evil we carry around in us and against which we constantly struggle. Nurture is the negative influences of the violent and predatory world we live in. Human beings have to fight both those things in their efforts at Being Human.

I don't know if they'll "say" that, but it might be a tidy way of giving closure to the series. Regardless, I've really enjoyed this show, and I think the final season has been very strong.

I enjoyed the series. The last show was a bit of a let down. More of an epilogue.
I wasn't that crazy about the Aidan/Sally pairing in the show and apparently the afterlife.
Josh is still an annoying character. Don't know why Nora stays with him.
Everything neat and tidy. Comfy I guess but rather dull.

It could have ended better, but I had fun with it. Fortunately, I never had the time to get really invested in the characters as I have with other shows. I hadn't seen an episode before a month or so ago. It's a talented cast, though, no matter what.

I didn't like how they killed off Aiden and Sally (well Sally, again). The evil house was off, where did that come from all of a sudden, and why didn't she just blow out the lighter, fling it across the room, etc. instead of letting it burn. Oh well, I will miss this show but also feel kind of glad its over.
