I don't like this move at all. While there are times we've recorded TAR, we usually watched it "live" on Sunday nights. It was a family tv night that we looked forward to on Sunday. Friday broadcasting is a definite DVR event because of other things going on. Not good for the show at all IMPO.

At least it should be on at the same time every week. I like the change, whether I watch it "live" or record it.

The only other advantage could be they could expand to two hours for finale's which they seem reluctant to do on Sundays. In terms of ratings this is a bad deal. In terms of someone who records the show anyway the move does not upset, and makes it easier not to have to worry about the overrun anymore.

I'm glad I don't have to set the DVR to record for 4 hours just to be safe on Sundays.

I'm also glad I can stay up late watching the show if needed because I can sleep in on Saturday.

Either way, TAR has been trying to re-invent itself for a while and maybe this is part of that re-invention.

That was a pretty lame finale leg. I felt like I was watching a one hour promotion for the city of Las Vegas. No memory challenge in the leg, screw in light bulbs and skydive, oh come on.

Yeah I was surprised.

It's only about counting the light bulbs?

And the guy beat the blonds to the helicopter place only by a few seconds.

Yet he lands minutes ahead?

Perhaps the second helicopter had to wait until the first one cleared the drop zone before allowing the girl to jump?

This ^ ... Safety first wink.gif In fact, I'm surprised they made the second and third jumps after Pops & Son hit the mat.

After the girls were saved 3 times, maybe even 4, from elimination, and they didn't have a bikini challenge in the finale? What a sham!!! wink.gif

I was happy with the outcome. Dave and Connor deserved the win. Brendon and Rachel deserved no better than third place!!!

It all came down to who had the best cab driver. I thought it was a lame finale.

The girls were slower doing the bulbs, so not 100% cab driving.

Regarding how far apart they landed, we don't know how far apart they identified the drop zone on the billboard.

While I thought the last leg lacked challenge I thought it was a pretty cool ending. I'm glad Dave and Connor won. It was weird this time seeing the receiving line of eliminated contestants. I had forgotten many of them. It just seems so long ago that they were on.

Agreed on the old contestants. You know what would be really neat? Survivor does family stuff (though not this season apparently). Why doesn't TAR do some words of encouragement or something from eliminated teams? That'd be a cool way for us to remember they existed and allow them to continue on. They've done this before (1st TAR Allstars mail challenge).

The finale was everything you'd expect in Vegas - lights, flame, and little underneath. If they're going to film in Vegas, they might as well bring in the host city's culture, too smile.gif. That said, it was pretty neat watching the Copperfield challenge. Though seriously - forcing the teammate to watch the TV when their partner obviously wasn't in the crate was just silly. It wasn't that time-consuming and there was little to differentiate the teams other than when teams opened the box of keys.

I'm glad Dave and Connor won. And I'm glad the girls didn't. Also, I agree on the bikini comment. What a letdown compared to last season!

I was becoming a bit of a Brenchel fan until last night. Now I think 3rd place was too high for them.

What I never understood was the constant "Baby this, Baby that" .. we have to win so we can have a baby ..

Hey, Rachel, what happened to the half a million you picked up on Big Brother .. ??

Doesn't it cost something like a million now to have a baby, raise it through college, pay for college 20 years from now?

Otherwise, they'd have to scrimp on their lifestyle ...

Probably went to the wedding and hopefully paying for Brendan's degree. I get the impression she was hoping for the million bucks so that she doesn't have to find a real job.

And in Rachels case, probably need to factor in the cost of a nanny, the Louis Vuitton stroller, personal trainer to help lose the baby weight .. etc .. since she could absolutely not be seen in public without the proper gear .. in Green ..

But, on the flip side, they would, of course, have the Worlds Smartest Baby who would land every scholarship available, Ivy League schools would be fighting over him / her and would go on to become the new Doogie Howser, M.D ..

I have no doubt that they want to have a baby. The million dollars would allow her live a lavish lifestyle while raising the child and Brendan can complete his degree and find a job so that he can keep supporting her and their brood. $600,000 (after taxes) probably won't go very far when you have to keep buying sequins, panty hose and cosmetic surgery...oh, and a baby.

Add me to the list of folks who are pleased with the winners. I was also surprised that there was no memory challenge at the end. When it was clear that Brendon & Rachel weren't going to even be close, my wife said "Maybe their baby will know how to use apostrophes" - if you don't get it, their shirts said "Brenchel's".

When Rachel said something like "We would do anything to win this" my thought was - oh really, what about shaving your head? Wasn't she the one who had the meltdown over that challenge in the previous season?

I thought that Asian woman who was their cab driver was going to throw them out of the car..

How about some all new teams for next season? Getting sick of seeing these people who have made reality shows their full time jobs.
