Yeah, they really milked it, too! I think the first mention of heading to meet Phil was only something like 30 minutes into the episode. Then we had to watch Krista swim around over and over when it seemed like it should have been easy enough. I guess that's easy to say watching from the sofa.

Really hoping someone other than Green Team can pull out the win. Nothing against the girl - but the guy is just so over the top annoying.

As I think back to early on this season, and with fond memories of the "White Bikini" challenge, it is with great sadness that I bid Krista and Tiffany farewell, they ran a passionate race and I was at least happy they got as far as they did .. now that my favorite Team is out, my support shifts to Joey and Kelsey ..

At first the Green time was the most annoying to us. Now, it has to be the Paparazzi. I hope the reporters win it!

Well, I did not know the rules for cabs, open season even if you pay them to be yours.

Good on Joey and Kelsey ... that last leg was a beast from the way it looked .. I was expecting the usual Big Brain challenge at the end, but the way they broke it up was kind of nice ..

I enjoyed seeing Justin in tears. A taxi, a gosh darned taxi. That paltry $100 he mentioned verses winning one million dollars will bug him the rest of his life. BTW, the first rule of Amazing Race Club is to nail down your taxi.

The thing about him I most disliked was the dominate/passive relationship with his partner. He treated her like dirt. I think she should dump him.

He improved his behavior towards her after the first time (or two) he blew up at her, there was growth there.

He was annoying but I didn't hate him and I wouldn't have minded so much if they had won. Especially for her sake. She's a teacher and seems like a giving person in that regard so some of the money might have been spent in service of her students.

I for one thought the photog couple were a hoot all along. They got after each other like lions vs hyenas but amazingly, always managed to come back together without seeming to build up higher & higher piles of resentments towards each other.

Although home turf didn't seem to matter, I wish they wouldn't have the last legs in places people are from. This isn't the first time they have done it either. On the flip side, when the team loses thats from there, it does make you happy in some cases, this being one of them.

Apparently CBS posted a bunch of extra videos.

Here the racers talk about the taxi situation on the mat:

Logan says they could have taken the taxi and won first place.

But apparently they did very poorly on the flag challenge so it wouldn't have mattered, except maybe the Green team might have been more even when the lobster challenge started.

Such a small mistake (Not paying your cab to wait) cost them the million. What a shame. Just glad the paparazzi team didn't win.

Missed the finale when it aired, but watched it last night online (I had already read spoilers, oops). Happy with the outcome. Thought some of the comments by and about the paparazzi couple were pretty darn funny. Phil saying something like "You guys often don't seem.... compatible" and then the woman saying maybe they should go to therapy.... awkward!

I have this unsettling feeling we'll see the Green Team again on reality TV.

Oh and I forgot "Which one of these is the flag of Africa?". Ugh.

Who says they'll be without their online lives? They did livestream a part of the first episode when they were filming it a few months back...

That said, I'm reserving judgment until the first or second episode airs. Then again, Survivor's looking to be a good season...

Holding the fort on old games that play the same as the new ones, minus the $400 price tag.

It really was a decent episode. The people so far really really seem nice, they were hugging each other, people at airports who recognized them were taking pics, just all around the players seemed very happy to be on the show and had great attitudes.

First episode always makes me laugh. "The teams have no idea their race is about to start NOW!" Good thing they are all sitting around in their matching outfits with their packed bags next to them.

As a fan since Season One, I have to say I was a bit disappointed with Episode One last night .. it felt like the editing was somehow different and the pacing as well .. just a general feeling .. as with most all seasons, I'm sure relationships will come under pressure as the Race unfolds, but it was also just a little bit more Lovefest than usual ..

You might be thinking of Korey, the dude with Tyler. The team that annoyed me most was actually Kurt and Brody, they were pretty annoying trying to find one of the mariachis that wasn't playing. Screaming and yelling the whole time.

The unique situation this season is that since these teams are "well known" social media stars, they've probably had interactions before or at least know who the other teams are.

For the people that are tuning out because of the stunt casting: look past the competitors' jobs. Yes, they make a living in front of the cameras, so they might be a little more guarded or "fake" when the camera's on, but they are also under pressure and in foreign lands, so they're still out of their element. Last season's winners were the newscasters. Did anyone fault them for that?

One of the teams is Burnie Burns and his girlfriend, Ashley, who both work for an online video company, RoosterTeeth. They are on-air personalities, but they are also involved in the behind the scenes business aspect. That's also something most of these people do as well. They are in charge of their own brands. They're not just narcissistic dancing monkeys that perform for the cameras. As they became more popular, they had to start managing their own careers and businesses.

Nice summation .. .. I just hope they don't stay too guarded, since one of the reasons I watch the show is the gradual tension that builds beginning around Episode 2 or 3 ..

Just for the record, I'm not for or against narcissistic dancing monkeys that perform for the cameras .. .. especially in an Election year ..
