Not hard to be "famous" in a small thread. As of this post it actually will be the last I read of you.

I too was really unhappy with the non-ending last year, and the producers' reply to the outrage of so many viewers. I said I wouldn't watch any more episodes, but I DID invest thirteen hours in this so I look here occasionally to see who the current suspects are. I do want to know who did it, and why, but not enough to spend another thirteen hours to find out when a minute or two here will give me the answer.

Couldn't agree more. See Post #620. Another reason I stuck around here, which I failed to state in my earlier post, was that, like you, I wanted to at long last learn who killed Rosie.

Good point. I shall try to limit myself hereafter. In my defense, although I don't watch the show anymore, I still enjoy reading what others have to say about it here.

nothing wrong with continuing to post...but it seems that a lot of people are posting just to tell us why they stopped watching...but those people are obviously still interested enough in the show to follow this thread so why not just watch the show itself?...it's only 43 minutes every Sunday (minus commercials) or just record it on your DVR and watch it later on in the week

EXACTLY. But did I ever catch HELL for it. For some unexplanable reason, my clever, humorous and witty remarks were not well received. This show is so bad, I predict it will eventually become (through no fault of its own) a cult classic. Therefore, all sarcasm is appropriate.

Although I stuck with The Killing to the bitter end last season, I confess that my eyes were getting pretty glassy before the season ended. Still, I wanted to know who killed Rosie but my curiosity was not acute enough to convince me to watch Season 2. Anyway, the comments of posters here have been more interesting, to me at least, than I remember the show being. That is less a reflection on the show than it is a compliment to the entertaining and informative posts seen here.

the ending to this murder mystery better be worth the 2 season build up...seems like a lot of the stuff this season could have easily been removed and mostly involved killing time until the season finale...just hoping everything makes sense and the killer is not some minor throwaway character

didn't they show Rosie being chased through the woods last season by her killer?...so the stuff at the casino (10th floor) doesn't really fit as she was not killed there...probably more red herrings

I suspect that Rosie took off after she was discovered and was pursued by the killer through the woods. Seems logical.

I'm enjoying every minute of this season as the plot thickens and marinates like a good stew. I don't know why anyone would have been bothered by the full mystery taking 2 seasons to unfold, since that's exactly the way the Danish original did. What's unfortunate is having to wade through the comments about how bad it is this season from people who haven't even watched it this season.

A show like this is all about the journey. If you want quick resolutions, then there are about, oh, 1,250 cop procedurals on the various networks that will give you the instant gratification you desire.

I agree. Even though it can seem to us like Rosie was killed over a year ago, on the show it is what, day twenty two or three?

nah I don't buy it...how could a young girl escape from the 10th floor with no one catching her?...I think that's the reason why Linden did not find any blood on the 10th floor...I think she did see something that she wasn't supposed to but that is not the reason she was killed

I'm sticking to my theory of someone close to her being the killer...you don't drown someone alive unless you want that person to suffer...plus the campaign car that she was found in seems too convenient if it was a random killing by some people who happened to run into her in the casino

If you remember Linden did find blood on the 10th floor. It was on the senate badge in between the floor. This would link what's her names father most likely ;-) (or at least it's meant to). Another hint was when the Mayor said her father knew about the sexual encounter between her and the Mayor yet didn't do anything about it.

there was blood on the key card but I still don't think that it's related to her killing...there's still 4 episodes left...I think we won't really find out until the final episode what really happened...I think everything up to that point will be mostly red herrings...I think the whole casino/election story is almost like a separate story which will result in the casino owner getting arrested, Richmod winning or losing the mayoral election etc but won't really tie into Rosie's murder

While I do agree the type of killing made it look very personal, the chief doesn't seem like the person who is beyond that. We know she was alive when she was in the trunk, but the killer might have thought she was dead and tried to hide the evidence.

Whatever the case it will be interesting to see how they end it.

Well now it's getting interesting. I have to say though that there's been alot of filler episodes this year. Had they done away with most of that then I could have given this an "A".

I think I have an idea who the killer is, and have had it for quite a while. I hope not though because of several reasons.

Totally agree show is real interesting now. Without some of the filler though we'd have a much smaller season and the characters would not have much background. Sometimes the filler episodes are filler until filled in later on.

I'm trying to not guess who did it may too many red herrings with this show. Will be interesting to see how they handle the 2 part season finale.

With summer being the season of no network shows, the wife & I have been going back to catch up on stuff we may not have seen before. THE KILLING being cheif among such programming.

Currently have just the S1 finale left to watch (thanks, Netflix!). I'm a Comcast subscriber, so I have OnDemand access - but only to the last few eps of S2 (beginning w/ Ep 7). Fortunately, Sundance has been running marathons. Coming next Monday, they will begin re-airing S2 from the top. Being that Sundance is not HD in my neck of the woods (is it anywhere?), at least the 1st half of S2 won't be in HD, but so be it - great show!

The suspense is killing me already....I was hoping we'd get a little more info last week now that they finally got the Federal warrant and could go into the casino "for real"

I was finally able to watch the last episode today. It was one of the replays from 4am a couple of days after the original showing. When Linden and Holder met the captain outside the city building, and she showed him the key card from the casino, the last few minutes were just a color test pattern. What happened after that? Test pattern removed after the show ended. (BTW, I'm watching on dishnetwork)

Thanks,
Michael

My wife and I really enjoy this show, look forward to it each week. I can't say I have any real theories at this point about who killed Rosie, but I have a nagging feeling it involves that smarmy millionaire guy who hired girls from the escort service. Maybe it ties in to him wanting the waterfront land for his stadium. And the Native Americans were only in it for the money; perhaps they were given a huge payoff to plant a bone and claim it was a burial ground so later they could say it actually wasn't but freeing the land for the stadium.

Last week when they discovered which door the keycard opened had to be a red herring. Since Adams was given a heads up he probably could have had that card recoded to open a different door, and since the body was already found in a Richmond car might as well match the keycard to a Richmond office.

the stuff with Gwen and Jamie is still a red herring in my opinion...I think the real killer and motive will only be revealed in the finale...I'm sticking with my theory of someone in her family

the end is near!...tonight's next-to-last episode was good...I really liked the last 5 minutes...really intense stuff with Linden and Holder watching the camera footage from the elevator and counting down the 3 people...I still think Jamie is a red herring...only thing he is guilty of is using shady tactics to help Richmond win the campaign...they told us that the killer would be revealed in the final episode so all of this is still red herrings until the final twist next week

Holder had some great lines tonight, the one about the antlers being strapped to dogs heads and the other about being a sensei, funny stuff.

I also think Jamie is a red herring and it's going to turn out to be Gwen, possibly jealous about Richmond focusing his attentions on Rosie. They laid some of the ground work for Gwen having some possible emotional issues with the reveal about her and the Mayor when she was a young teenager.

What ever they do, it sure better not be some heretofore unseen or totally peripheral character as the culprit, that would really be bad.
