This is usually the case with Ms. Oink and I.
Few NF rentals are strictly for one or the other.

I think it would be a good idea as this(Bosch) is a great example of how good streaming can look.

You could always do Laptop > HDMI cable > receiver. With a wireless mouse and keyboard you don't even have to leave the couch.

Unless I am completely mistaken, it does have an ethernet input.
The output is HDMI.

Spoiler!

I think he was wondering about how you were connecting things since your router was in the MB and I'm guessing the FTV in another room. I assumed you were using either wall plates, extended Ethernet cables or another way to get your FTV internet access.

It was discussed in the Bosch thread and I think he decided on going with a Powerline setup to get wired Ethernet to his HT.

Great premiere episode giving us just enough to get us back into the story again. Looking forward to the upcoming weeks with what they have set up. I appreciated what they did by actually doing a flashback for Cersi instead of doing that by a monologue.

As far as I know rules are set for east coast as it airs (as it is with every show). I didn't give anything away at all for the episode either. So *shrug* not sure what the big deal is. Don't read the thread on show nights when east coasters finish before, then again maybe we need a thread for each timezone then.

While I did not time it, based on what I saw on HBOGO, it looked like about 50 minutes of actual show ..

I thought the flashback was kinda funny in that Cersei acted just like Joffrey and even looked like him some ..

Might have eeked out just a tad more but it's about right. Show ended around the 54 mark of the hour.

I binged most of season four yesterday and in comparison, the season five opener was somewhat of a letdown. They lost a lot of good talent with the demise of Tywin, the Hound, Lysa Arryn, and Joffery. We need some new "bad guys". Really going to miss Tywin though. Those scenes where Arya was his personal servant were some of the best.

Dany needs to get tough with those dragons or they'll walk all over her. She's kind of a hot mess right now. If it wasn't for the sneaky Red Woman, I'd back Stannis all the way. She (Melissandre) has that way of talking that really rustles my jimmies. The actress really pulls it off.

Episode One just flew by for me .. at the end, my neck hurt from being snapped around by so many plot pieces being thrown about .. they packed a lot into this episode, I'm going to watch it again tonight .. I hate to say it, but it almost felt rushed ..

Violence is an inherent part of the show...which means someone big is bound to be offed on a fairly regular basis (yes, I'll miss Tywin too).
