OK, the show has begun and we can now start the running thread. No spoilers please!

Heh, thanks. I thought I saw the word Westeros during that bit.
So did anyone else get the impression that Melisandre is planning to sacrifice Stannis' daughter?! I know he's a cold-hearted SOB but would Stannis really agree to that?
I did. After all, she has his royal blood in her too.

She only knows of Caitlyn not Lysa. She'll find out about Lysa sooner or later though as news tends to travel fast when it involves the death of a Nobel.
I guess in Westeros just staying out of a war is enough to win a peace prize

I know she doesn't know yet about Lysa since that just happened but you wrote that" she knows they are dead", I was wondering who else was dead and what else I missed, or did you mean she knows they aren't dead which is a big difference and takes a big load off my mind since it means I didn't forget something else!
I think he meant all the other Starks - Cat, Robb, Bran, and Rickon. We know about the last two of course, but very few know on the show.

I thought the red witch knew that perhaps she would play a pivotal role with the dragons invasion down the line. I didn't get any sacrifice out of it but certainly possible . Anyone else thinking Bran Stark will be the savior to Westeros because he will eventually be able to control the Dragons!!!

Game of Thrones made the weather news on Last Week with John Oliver.
Heh, thanks. I thought I saw the word Westeros during that bit.
The Hound and Arya both have horses now. Arya got hers from those Lannister soldiers they killed a few episodes back. Although neither group seems to be in a hurry. They're either walking their horses or casually trotting along.Quote:

I think B&P will catch up to H&A bc B&P are on horseback, the other 2 are footing it.

Despite Hollywood depictions, you can't ride a horse at a canter for hours and hours on end. You'll kill it. A really good horse can maybe make 7 or 8 miles an hour over an extended trip by alternating between walking and trotting. They also would need to stop and let the horses graze; I don't think they're carrying feed.

I realized what seemed so off about the new actor for The Mountain: he's only 26 years old. That's almost 20 years younger than the actor who's supposed to be his younger brother!
I'll buy that.Quote:

The miles they have traveled to date would have been covered by Jack Bauer in five minutes.

Read that the Mountain is the 2nd strongest man in the world..Bench presses 500 pounds, squat 770 pounds and deadlift 925 pounds. he consumes 10,000 calories a day..

Meh. Yes, he has muscles, but the first two actors were 7 ft. 1, which makes 6 ft. 9 look short. The way I see it, the closer they get to the 8 ft range (around what the character is supposed to be) the better.Quote:

I agree that Jack Bauer would move faster than The Hound and Arya have been going and I also think that The Hound and Arya's not insignificant body count would pale in comparison to Jack's.
I seem to be in the minority but I like the latest guy to play The Mountain. To me, The Mountain's most significant traits are is nearly otherworldly size and strength. It seems to me that the new actor playing him fills the bill well. He is huge, 6'9" 429 pounds, and has muscles to match.

I loved Oberyn and Tyrion's scene, it was so well acted on both parts. Dinklage tho, is a master of facially expressive emotions, he does it so effortlessly.
Sansa is beautiful against the snow, the eeyrie has never been so beautiful til that scene. LF looked as tho he had been wanting for yrs to fly Lyssa, great acting all around.
you could see the disdain he had for her in his face as he pushed her.
