Just binged watched season one (US) via On Demand. This show is amazing!

So.. Why doesn't this show have a "cult following"? Is it because it's on Cinemax and that costs extra? Or is the genre not for everybody?

Anyways. New season soon!!

Thanks for the reminder! I needed it. For reasons I can't explain, my season pass from earlier seasons got deleted. No matter, your reminder saved me when I needed saving.

I see this show as the drunken father of Banshee. Love it!

It looks like they did not replay Origins on the linear channel, but it was available On Demand from my provider. It had a different vibe to it, but it was easy to binge through the 6 episodes. I will say that after I watched it, I went back to watch Season 1 Episode 1 and it was a very different feeling to see John Porter taken out so quickly since I had just come to "know" him.

I wanted to see Origins again too but when I checked MaxGo for Strike Back Origins it wasn't there. Should I have used another title? The shows featuring John Porter are shown on IMDb as being Strike Back Season 1.

I can't speak to MaxGo, but my provider's OnDemand section had it listed just as Origins within the Strike Back folder. The others were listed as Season 1,2,3,4. Season 4 contained a teaser to the new season starting Friday. When you watched an episode, the shorthand title was S0, as in, S0:01, S0:02, etc.

I am seeing Origins in MaxGo. I needed to go to Series A to Z (lower right hand corner) and then Strike Back and it brings up all of the episodes, including Origins....

Found it, thanks a million! Can hardly wait to see it again. I really like Richard Armitage, who played John Porter. He is now portraying the creepy Francis Dollarhyde in Hannibal and is doing a great job with it.

According to Sickbeard- Sky1 is showing the last two episodes (ep09, ep10) back-to-back tonight in the UK....
So after tonight- it's officially over

I've seen promos for Sullivan Stapleton's new fall series "Blindspot"... looks interesting.

IMO- The six John Porter episodes were superior to the episodes that followed with Scott and Stonebridge.

I am personally waiting and anticipating this final Season .. I feel very positive it will go out with a very loud "Bang" .. oddly, with all the good shows we have on our plates these days, "Strike Back" became very much a favorite of mine .. the "Buddy Action Big Explosion Shoot 'Em Up" genre is sadly, under represented

I rewatched about the first half of Episode 1 of Origins but gave up on it. After I warmed up that season I remembered that I never liked it nearly as well as the admittedly dumber but, to me at least, far more fun and exciting later seasons that featured Stonebridge and Scott. What can I say? Loud and dumb usually appeal to me, never more so than in Strike Back. Guess I preferred the later seasons to Origins because they were both louder and dumber.

Tonight!!

I should buy a celebratory bottle of alcohol. Maybe some Italian wine for the cellar or a blood orange liqueur to sip when I have a sweet tooth.

The reason why Origins wasn't as good for me was the total lack of humor. The Stonbridge/Scott dynamic with their banter lightened the whole thing up and while their first season was by far the best, they haven't lost it yet...hopefully.

You make a great point. Origins was a tragic, humorless, downer but there is a lot to laugh at in Strike Back, which makes the sad stuff a lot easier to take.

Yep, what a fun show. I called up & ordered Cinemax just for this show. DTV also gave me my choice of another premium (2 for 1) so I took Showtime (Homeland).
