Agree this was a great episode. I've enjoyed the show from week one, esp. the acting. but felt somewhat detached until this one. Now I'm totally absorbed. Love how good and evil aren't absolutes but vary depending on the character's perspective. Love even more that I don't have a clue how its going to turn out.

Me, too. It kinda slid in under the radar (so to speak ... ). That's why rimshots are so vital.

Agree with others about your "interpretation" of this. Reminds me of one the funniest episodes of WKRP in Cincinnati in which the station, in a Thanksgiving gesture, drops live turkeys from a helicopter, leading to a lot of splatter and one of the great quotes from Gordon Jump: "as God as my witness, I thought turkeys could fly".

One of the two funniest moments in sit-com history, imo. (The other being Taxi, starting with Jim asking "Whats a yellow light mean?). Okay, back to the show...

Fantastic.

It was touching when Brody went to talk to Mike in the Basketball court.
It was also touching how Saul was by Carrie's bed side at the hospital.

Yea, Saul definitely felt bad about what happened to her.

But was Brody genuine with Mike or just saying what he needed to so Mike would help convince Jessica to go along with his running for office?

Really bought Dane's emotions regarding Brody. What a fantastic actress. Saul was very powerful again, even when he tried to convince the Saudi to stay and Carrie just blew past him. Really good show.

Obviously not. He had a moment when he wanted out, but now he's in play big time.

I'm thinking David, I think that's his name. Saul seemed happy and too busy to do this, it wasn't until later his partner left leaving him confused. David though lost his family prior to this shows events and you can tell its affecting him.

That being said, the evidence makes me look at Saul, because of the lie detector fiasco. Not sure if this is a red herring.

When Saul was with the female terrorist, he kept alluding to how she got into this because of her love for a guy. He was relating to her a little too well. He seems to have a curious amount of understanding about how that happens, and his wife is of middle-eastern descent and travels a lot to that area. Too many coincidences there, but of course that could be misdirection on the part of the writers.

Carrie could be the mole for all we know.

Reminds me of when people suggested Adama could be a Cylon in BSG.
What would be the point of the series then, isn't she the protagonist?
That would ruin the series for me if she turns out to be the mole....

Another great episode with the entire cast hitting nothing but perfect notes. Who the mole is is anybody's guess. I doubt that it's Saul. He's been at this game too long and too well to be turned. Saul's theory that whoever it is also may have slipped the razor blade to the prisoner could, I'd imagine, narrow the pool of candidates down. The tease for next week was shocking with Brody building and trying on a suicide bomb vest. Add his words to his son about "when I'm gone" and it seems to be leading to an obvious conclusion. There have, however, been so many rabbit holes so far that it could be far different from what it seems. Is Brody going to give the device to another of the faithful who is willing to do the deed? Here's a good one to chew on: Brody gets elected and on the first day of the new congress, he blows the chamber to smithereens. If he stood in the middle of the House floor, wioth enough C4 he could probably do just that. Could he even get in wearing such a device? It would depend on how members of congress are checked, if at all if they are wearing their lapel pin. Such an act sure would meet the definition of Abu Nazir's "going big" wouldn't it. On a side note, I have to admit that I can't take my eyes off of Morena. Long or short hair, this is truly one of the most beautiful people on the face of the planet.

I don't remember seeing Brody try on the exact vest being built. I think that's a classic misdirecting preview.
I also so not think Carrie is the mole, because I think she figures it out.
Very good show. I think Brody's character is a real well written story. Just great!

I just watched the clip of the preview and you're right. The bomb maker appears to be a Caucasian with thinning hair and glasses. But later there's a cutaway to Brody coming put of his house with a paper wrapped package that looks like the size and shape of the vest. Then there's the final scene of a hand pushing a detonator button. Here's the YouTube link:

Such a well written, directed and acted show. It really puts so many others to shame with their lazy writing and plot holes. All the guessing games have plausibility, so the story could go almost anywhere. Great stuff.

It seems to me the Mole had nothing to do with the bomb explosion.
It's seems more plausible that the diplomate placed the "danger" signal in the window to alert Walker. That's how Walker knew the diplomate had been compromised.

That's what I was thinking, too. However, I'm not convinced the diplomat was such a hard core mujahid radical to more or less kill himself. Maybe he was dumb enough to think that Jackson would not show up or whatever and not take him (the diplomat) out. And it is TV, so they need the mole to keep part the show going. As far as the mole goes, they're making it too easy to be Saul.

There were a lot of funny lines this week. A few I remember:

"I need to change. It seems I've become the kind of mother who drives her kids to school in pajamas."

"Being gay in Saudi Arabia is like being the antichrist in the US."

"I love sucking ****. Yum, yum, yum."
