The Show could go along without Brody, Carrie no. Claire Danes is great to watch.

Indeed. Brody's involvement went on at least one season too long, if not two, and led to forced plotlines that downgraded the prestige the show had built up during its stellar first season. Ultimately, it's Carrie & Saul's story.

I think some of you are way too critical of the last two seasons of Homeland. The first year was A+, the next two years came in at A.

A is nothing to sneeze at.

Season 3 had an extremely clever plot line. Good surprises. For me, it was all fairly believable, well within the logical rules of quality television writing. Even the great season one - secret Muslim convert becomes a major national political figure and almost carries out a suicide bombing - would be hard to swallow if we were seeing it on CNN. With few exceptions, you've got to accept a certain degree of implausibility if you want a story that grabs you by the balls.

End comes for notorious Venezuelan vertical slum

The beginning of the end came for the world's tallest slum Tuesday as officials began evicting thousands of squatters from a haphazard community inside the half-built Caracas skyscraper known as the Tower of David...
