So what's up with the kid and those vials? could they be some kind of attack? maybe he's not that innocent and that's why he didn't want the video to be posted on the internet..

Weird looking baby, almost CGI-ish, like they dyed his hair orange.. poor little boy, and mommy doesn't want him, I guess settle with the aunt and the nanny.

Yeah Corey's character was killed too quickly I guess he has work to do in The Strain.

Loved Quinn defending his new chubby girlfriend, she wasn't that morbidly like someone mentioned.

RIP Mom, we always love you 8/18/13

And not one financial titan responsible for nearly melting down the economy a few years ago and vaporizing trillions of investor dollars (while making a mint himself) has ever been indicted, much less prosecuted. Who says crime don't pay? You just have to commit really big crimes.

I got from the reaction of the kid, when he was called on by hard men after he had survived the wedding attack, that his uncle the terrorist was not there and the kid has been told in no uncertain terms not to reveal it.

Well Homeland is not shy about promoting outlandish notions. So presumably they're hinting that ISI set up the CIA on the drone attack and they were in cahoots with the terrorist who was the target of the attack.

Remember, last season was about an Iranian intelligence thief, sneaking into the US, then being snuck back into Iran, along with Brody, to kill some ayatollah or whomever. It took awhile for my eyeballs to come back down to their normal position after they revealed that plot.

The Quinn Chubby girl-friend was not "morbidly obese", and she seems to have a spunky personality. She was in fact a slump-buster, exactly what he needed, and reminded me a bit of Molly on Fargo. The way she stopped him from pummeling the guy with the napkin case was very good. Will also miss Corey Stoll, [with no topper], liked his work on L/O LA, and of course on the Strain...

Quinn! That guy (was) going off the deep end. I knew he was going to spot something when he was watching the clip over and over.

What position is Saul in? He has the authority to govern the embassy director?

I do not think we saw Carrie's home life last night

Quinn had to stay relevant. Saul is now in the private sector, but has so much experience and clout with his ex-fiance/lover and co-worker that she trusts his judgement. Seems that Carrie got an upgrade in her apt. with the new job. Her other apt. was a dump.

Carrie was great playing the seductress. Who could resist?

Thanks.

I do not like the Quinn/Carrie plot. Does it have any substance? Anything previously regarding those two. I forget

Carrie sure can play the seduction role! What if he would have kissed her

I'd been losing interest in the last season, and the beginning of this season was a little hesitant, but last night's episode was one of the most compelling episodes of the entire show.

I'm glad they shed Brody and his family. The first few episodes of this season required some tortuous exposition to get Carrie and her team into place. Now, I can see the benefits of it. They have created a very complex set of espionage double/triple agents, etc., which should reward us with an outstanding season if they don't get lazy in the future scripts.

Please let me know if I'm misinterpreting something (wouldn't be the first time!), but here's what I think is happening:

Eh I don't put much stock in Homeland plots.

They started out great but then people were concerned the plots could get as ridiculous and implausible like 24.

And Homeland went there.

We're going to have eye rolling moments, like Brody texting from the situation room.

I must have missed that dialogue. Thanks.

Now the question is: how did Haqqani plant the wedding intel in the ambassador's laptop? I'm guessing she's being told things by the Pakistani gummint or ISI, and they're in collusion w/ Haqqani.

I think your confused. The husband was giving the Sandy documents from the ambassador's laptop. He then traded those documents to the ISI for intel on the bad guys. The ISI was likely colluding with Haqqani and gave Sandy the intel about the wedding, knowing Haqqani would not be there and it would be a huge mess after the US hit it.

At lest with Brody the plot had a starting point that is somewhat understandable.

So, who is the actor who is the spurned CIA agent that assumed he would get Sandy's job. I remember him from a show, perhaps a sitcom, but can't recall. He hasn't aged well and it's driving me nuts.

I agree. O'Keefe's career peaked in 1979 with his Oscar nominated performance in The Great Santini, when he was in his early 20s. Caddyshack was made the next year. O'Keefe was born in 1955 so he is now pushing 60. The passage of 30 plus years usually does that to a man.

Could not help thinking about The Graduate when Carrie started up with the kid, Mrs. Robinson are you trying to seduce me? Then I could not get the Mrs. Robinson song, Evan Dando and The Lemonheads version, out of my head. So here's to you Carrie/ Mrs. Robinson. Coo kook a choo. And Quinn bouncing the ball all alone was pure Steve Mc Queen from The Great Escape.
