Kinda feel deflated? Well following Ray Donovan will do this.

These are just my opinions.

While slower, the ending ramped things up. I agree, that they needed to start slow and may still have some slowness yet so that they can introduce the new players. Looking forward seeing how this plays out. I guess leaving the CIA isn't as easy as it sounds

I've enjoyed the first two episodes much more than the past few seasons. There are a lot of intriguing plot points, even if they're pretty unbelievable. It is a TV show after all, and we need to be entertained.

Being a hard-core Homeland fan, I really like having it in Berlin this season. I was stationed in Berlin for three years in the Army, and seeing some familiar scenes takes me back. I was there when the Wall was still up, so a lot has changed. Liking the new season so far.

I saw one thing that might or might not be an indication that it's not really shot in Berlin. In the first episode, I think Mandy and Miranda left a building, and there was a sign on the window "Big Sale". Would they have a sign like that in English in Germany?

Großer verkauf is more letters. Most of Germans under 30 speak English many under 60 also and such englishisms prevail.

Just like the French have Le shopping not Le magazinage.

A recruiter for ISIL. Isn't the world a better place now, or are you concerned about the ethics?

The woman Quinn assassinated had been a recruiter of young women for a middle eastern terrorist organization. Don't know what happened to the teenaged girls she handed over who were then driven off in a van. Quinn called in the van's plate number and description but we don't know what happened to it next.

I think he's talking about the picture of Carrie that was in his next target envelope at the PO box.

You are correct, sir. That was exactly what I was asking but I didn't want to be more specific if some poor soul was reading these posts and had not seen the final scene of last night's episode

So yes. From what I saw Quinn has been told to kill Carrie.

I'm assuming the PO box was hacked, or broken into and the original target was replaced with the one indicating Carrie. Or, maybe Saul really is trying to take her out though I really have a hard time accepting that given how their relationship has been over the course of the show.

I still have the episode on my DVR, and you are correct. The decoded name spelled MATTHESO... (Fade to credits).

Don't know how I missed it the first time. WTF? And Carrie was the target of the ambush as well. Somebody is holding a big grudge.

The station chief who is being told to take the fall? Or maybe the German intelligence agency getting their 'pound of flesh'?

I'm betting on Saul's assistant in Germany. She's got a grudge going and she has shown her colors in the last episode....

Yes, I called her the station chief though I guess that's not her title?

It's currently being filmed in Berlin/Germany. They shot in Capetown last year. Claire Danes had a recent interview where she said as much also that they hadn't filmed the entire season AND that they hadn't determined the ending of the season.

You were correct. I believe Saul is the "director" of European operations, thus the suggestion he could do his job anywhere. She is the station Chief in Berlin. That is why she was selected for the axe

We saw a man saunter into the post office. It looked like it might be Saul, but maybe not. My wife even asked who it was.

My guess as well. That woman does not want to leave her post. Perhaps she has other ties to the area. No way Peter will act without directly contacting Saul for confirmation.

I still have the recording on my DVR. At minute 46, someone goes into the post office. When he comes out, we don't get a good look at him, but I am pretty sure it wasn't Saul. If someone planted bogus kill instructions, who would be privy to the code used to encrypt the instructions?

Let's hope Quinn does the right thing (and that would not be to kill Carrie).

Regarding the guy coming out of the post office in the shadows, and whether it's Saul or not, I'm sure the show could play it either way. But for what it's worth, I'd say it was clearly Mandy Patinkin. He has a very recognizable walk, his gait, the way his arms swing, etc.

For the first time I'm without SHO.

I'm okay. I'll catch up later

Shameful edit: I haven't even seen last season! My friend and I were supposed to marathon it. Oh well

I have made sort of a devil's bargain with Cox. I subscribe to virtually everything they offer at an exorbitant rate. Because I pay them so much, they give me a "customer loyalty" discount. This way my subscription price, extortionate though it is, only goes up a few dollars a month every year or two. This takes just enough pain out of the equation to keep me onboard with Cox for everything I subscribe to.

Without a trial, that would be murder. And on tp of that, we here in Germany have banned the death penalty for decades. Peter would be arrested, if we got a hold of him. And the BND would have never dared to arrest an innocent citizen, especially not a journalist.
