Noticed an ad that mentions the computers are teaming up for the new season. Couldn't remember all my favorite fictional computer-takeover films until I located this Wikipedia fictional computer list organized by decades. Favorite computer 'lecture': "Colossus: The Forbin Project," when the U.S.-Soviet team-up assures its creators they'll learn to love the computers [1970s]. The Matrix and Terminator series [80's, 90's] come to mind. There's also good-old HAL and the WOPR--really single-model takeovers I guess . -- John

The 1957 film The Invisible Boy featuring Robby the Robot tells the story of a super computer taking over the world via satellite.

I would have liked it if they had kept Hersh around but then maybe that makes the team too cumbersome to work well.

Err, Bear is not a German Shepard, he is a Belgian Malinois, which is the breed most often used by our troops in combat, and which follows Bear's history from the show.

It's late so I'll be brief but after trying to figure out how all this was going to go and who's doing what what to whom and how the machine and Samaritan were going to coexist and how the gang was going to continue count me in on being highly impressed.
The VHF closed communication network was simply genius, a way that they could communicate under the radar and the way it tied together with the story was simply marvelous, I must tip my hat to the writers, well done, well played. I look forward to the next episode.

Interesting twist with the antennas. I like that they are playing from a position of weakness this year. It should be fun.

I'm glad they incorporated the people they help into their situation this time, unlike last year when they acted like nothing big happened for the season premier.

Yep, laughed out loud at that, everything has changed yet some things stay the same. New identities, heck I think I heard Harold call Bear by a different name even.
Also, it appears that the machine is running in the background of Samaritan to hide their identities. At least twice I saw the threat assessment as eliminate only to switch to ignore, irrelevant.

That's due to the servers root inserted into Samaritan to cloak their identities. The Machine has nothing to do with it.

I thought it was funny that the camera focused on the window from the outside for a second or 2 before it happened. You knew exactly what was coming at that point.

Shaw was awesome this week, as usual.

Root finally schooled Harold by being more invested in helping people than him and letting him know that this isn't something he can just sit out.

Reese is a cop! Hilarious!

The VHF communication idea was, as said earlier, genius!

Based on what I saw Samaritan thinking, I believe it is starting to put two and two together by following the patterns of behavior of our group. They won't be able to hide for long if they keep helping people.

Has anyone else noticed that the new black on white camera searching screens look a bit like DNA images?

Interesting - which IRT abandoned station are they in now? Can't be City Hall - too open, can't be 91st St on 1/2/3 line - too remote.

My guess, both on Lexington Ave line, either Worth St (north of Brooklyn Bridge station) or 18th St (north of 14th St station).

A Space In Time - 1971

Quote:
A Space in Time is the sixth album by the British blues rock band Ten Years After. It was released in August 1971 by Chrysalis Records in the United Kingdom and Columbia Records in America. A departure in style from their previous albums, A Space in Time is less 'heavy' than previous albums and includes more acoustic guitar, perhaps influenced by the success of Led Zeppelin who were mixing acoustic songs with heavier numbers. It reached number 17 in the Billboard 200.[1]

The third track on the album, "I'd Love To Change The World", is also their biggest hit. By combining a melodic acoustic chorus with challenging electric guitar riffs, they managed to produce a sound that hit number 10 in the charts in Canada[citation needed] and number 40 in the USA.[2] Although this was their biggest hit, they rarely played it live. "Baby Won't You Let Me Rock 'n' Roll You" also charted in the USA, peaking at number 61.[2]
This particular cover was done by Jetta,
