Is the AMD chip able to be used in a cluster?

PS3's had a cell processor.

Cell is a multi-core microprocessor microarchitecture that combines a general-purpose Power Architecture core of modest performance with streamlined coprocessing elements[1] which greatly accelerate multimedia and vector processing applications, as well as many other forms of dedicated computation.[1]

Exotic features such as the XDR memory subsystem and coherent Element Interconnect Bus (EIB) interconnect[3] appear to position Cell for future applications in the supercomputing space to exploit the Cell processor's prowess in floating point kernels.

Well, as Root said, "we can always reformat them with Linux". Hey Linus, be happy, your baby got a mention on American mainstream TV!

I watched this yesterday. I was glad to have it back after an entire year POI drought. It also made me sad that we're in the last season and this is it.

I did enjoy the PS3 supercomputer bit. As to why they didn't use the PS4 I think they basically explained it when they were talking about the Samaritan malware installed on everything new...

2) The last three episodes of the series will only air on Tuesdays in June (June 7, June 14, June 21).

I got this info from the Wikipedia page for season 5 of the show.

I feel sorry for the people, like a co-worker, who refuse to get a DVR, trying to keep up with that schedule.

Great episode last night. Loved the humor at the beginning and the dilemma the machine is having with who is and isn't good.

If the cover business was even remotely real, they were being collected to be recycled. There's a lot of valuable components and metals in those machines, including copper, silver, gold and palladium.

Since people generally don't send out current hardware for e-waste collection, the PS3 would provide the greater amount of units to work with. Even if the PS4 could be clustered in the same way, the larger number of PS3s would make for a much larger array.

Here's a wiki article about basically what we saw them do:

Decent episode last night. I wonder if the CIA guy comes back into a later episode when the stuff really starts hitting the fan?

The guy that played John's old CIA boss, Keith David, has been in many projects, but every time I see him, all I can think of is his role in Something About Mary as Mary's Dad

And yes, I have a feeling that we may see him later in a position to help John...

Or the voice over guy on the US Navy commercial: "The United States Navy - a force for good."

Also, the voice of Goliath on the Disney cartoon "Gargoyles".

The end can't come soon enough for this show. Even the actors are dragging their feet and going through the motions now.

Not for me - it's still as good as anything I watch on broadcast TV, and we don't even have Shaw back yet. Resuscitating and reorienting the machine while dealing with oddball glitches has been fun. And the droll dialog still cracks me up e.g.

"Harold, so glad you managed to find me!"

"Thank you, though your surprise is disheartening."

Based on last night's episode, looks like the writers agree with me

Only a few episodes left and we get a dream sequence episode? While it had it's moments at the end I feel cheated.
