WOW!
The best episode so far...

FWIW, there are now a couple of babes that are way WAY too hot.

If Bree Turner is going to be Monroe's love interest doesn't that break some interspecies sexual taboo? I mean we can't have mongrol wesen running around. Isn't she a goat girl that eats toads and enslaves her lovers? She actually looked kind of cute when she manifested. Kind of wanted to pet her...maybe feed her some kibble.

I don't lurk as much as I used to and I NEVER listen. Comes from being old and cynical.

Ok, looked her up. She's a Fuchsbau...and what do Fuchs do? Anyway, she's a foxlike creature, not a goat girl. Which there may be some consanguinity with a Blutbad...so we can expect a wolf/fox hybrid or a sly, sneeky wolf that likes to raid the chicken coup. In short, Rosalie is a fox.

There's a lot of Chinese and Japanese myths about "Fox Women". They usually lure a man away from his wife and family, usually to their doom. But Grimm doesn't seem to be going that way in this case.

I noticed that too....first thing I thought of was Dee Wallace (Stone) in The Howling. All the other folks that changed into werewolves int eh movie were these ugly, raging carnivores....when she changed, she was this cute as a button petite "wolf" that you'd love to take home and have as a pet.

I found it totally unbelievable. I understand they want to save that for a later episode, but these have to be the dumbest cops ever on tv..." Oh, I almost died but I seem okay now, so just forget it."
"Well, since you say you're okay we'll just leave you alone. Kinda funny how that happened, but we don't have time right now to think about it. Maybe next week."

You do realize it's a highly fantastical TV show, not a documentary, right? The police and station are just part of the background and setting. Set your mind free, you will have much more fun

They use the name Portland Police Department, whereas in reality it is named the Portland Police Bureau.

Probably by agreement with the Police Bureau they changed the designation.

They also showed a storefront with advertising that said: "LIQUOR - BEER - WINE". Production license, I'm sure, but impossible anywhere in current-day Oregon. Liquor is only sold in state-controlled stores which are prohibited from also selling beer or wine. You'd think the research people for the show would be more familiar with local laws now that they've been on location filming in Portland for some time.

The show is becoming much more of a serial now as the plotting of the Captain and his leaders unfolds. I'm enjoying the ride.

Coincidentally, the show Medium which also started out on NBC did a similar naming switch. The show was set in Phoenix, Arizona, but they called the county Mariposa (a county in CA) instead of Maricopa, the county where Phoenix is located.

Looks to me like the lawyers at NBC have nothing better to do with their time and have to justify their existence on the payroll with this nonsense.

The fun thing about using german is that when germans make up a new word they usually just take a bunch of existing words and slam them together to make a new word. So when you make up phony german words in the same manner they look like the real thing.

When I saw that I was thinking. Hey that guy stores sandwiches in his cushion ??? After realizing it was foam, it's definitely a headscratcher and will hopefully be addressed next episode.

My thought process exactly.
