While all of you were obsessing on keys, I was obsessing on Juliette not immediately calling Nick after finding the broken picture frame.

After woman I've ever been involved with would have called no matter how inappropriate the time of day or anything other considerations. But it seems when people break into Juliette's house, she just blows it off as a non-event.

I've even known people to just store it between the inside and storm doors.
People always think they've found a place a thief won't look for it. Trust me, if there's a place someone has ever hidden a key, a thief has thought of it.
True.

Given Renard's mother was a hexenbeast, could he and Adaline be half-siblings?

LOL...that works right up until he turns the key the opposite way...

You might catch him off guard if you put the lock cyliner in upside down so you have to turn it toward the door frame to unlock it, but a good theif would check the door before fussing with a key or trying to break in.

Honestly, it's probably irrelevent if your locks are more than a few years old since a bump key would get the guy in as fast as you could with your own key.

In my case, I almost never go in my front door when I've been out somewhere. The only time I open the door is a) to go out to water the flowers in the front garden b) check the mail (it's on the front of the house since it's a walking route, so I can't stop and get it when I drive in) c) get some fresh air or d) when the power is out and I can't open the garage door.

The last one is the only time I actually need the key. Any other time, the door stays open until I'm back inside. When I don't have the inside door open to circulate air via the storm screen, the door stays shut and deadbolted - which is something any cop would recommend.

Didn't they imply that Renard was "doing" Adaline's mother?

So if they're half-siblings through the mother that would mean he was doing his mother! [cue The Doors: This is the End] eek.gif

I need some kind of illustration of how Renard was related to Adalind and her mother, if he "did" both, that's some sick twist...

Although Adalin's mom seems a bit too old for Renard IMO...

So, howcome Monroe doesn't know Nick's boss? he never has seen him/met him? at least in the news? he's a Police captain!

I'm also wondering why Renard doesn't want to hurt Nick? he's the only one that could uncover his identity and now he's in the way of his "true love", even more reason to.

RIP Mom, we always love you 8/18/13

Already covered: Renard wants to have Nick/Grimm under his control/employ in order to battle his fellow royals.

I''m not sure if he's ever said it exactly but Renard has clearly had a plan for the Grimm since day 1. And it has been mentioned that the Royals have used the Grimms in the past to solidify their control over the other Wesson. Now that we know Renard is an exiled Royal it seems to follow he plans to use Nick to regain his proper place. Sorta like he's the emperor, and the Grimm is his Vader...

Your analysis makes a lot of sense.
I wonder if Nick will go along with this?

I think Renard was planning on convincing Nick he was a lesser evil than the other Royals. Or dupe him into thinking he was doing the right thing. Which explains his dismay at the effects of the spell. Nick is likely not going to help if he thinks Renard stole his woman. smile.gif

I think Renard is implicated in Nick's aunt's death via Adalind. So he must have known at least that connection.

I go to watch Grimm tonight and it's not in my DVR queue. Ok, I'm thinking they took a week off. So I watch Fringe and then notice the orange 'record' light is on... it's recording Grimm at 1am. What did Grimm do to piss off NBC?
