I'm kind of surprised they didn't do something like this sooner.

One thing I'm finding annoying with the show is how, for 53 minutes of run time, they set up the situation meaning the resolution happens in about 4 minutes. Then you get stuff like the culprit doing a speech admitting to everything he did in front of everyone to save time.

Jerry. Just remember. Its not a lie . . . if you believe it. GC

Do you mean 43 minutes?

I am in the minority, but I was ok with the Carny episode, Monroe and Rosalee were overdue for some outdoor daytime shots.  I was ready for sunshine.  When they bring in that many guest roles, I expect parts to be weak.  Like the House of Mirrors, that added nothing for me, other than for the Carny prop value.

I haven't liked the Adalind storyline this season, but at least there was more action this week.  I could have done without conversation while they were sneaking around the enemy in the woods.  Already too much of that.  But now that we're sufficiently built up with suspense, all is in place for a Royals episode.

Or smell them...

I expected a close-up on the child's eyes and some allusion to [perception management] like the bit with the firewood when the child was cold, or the pen to the eye in the hotel room. I guess the child doesn't consider the uncle and his hounds as a threat, or wasn't yet bothered.

It would be interesting (in the Chinese curse way) to see the real implications of the proverbial "Terrible Twos" of a child with only the abilities we have seen (telekinesis and glamour at distance). This could be dangerously close to a "Skylar" like event (more for the writers than the characters).

I've been annoyed by this, too. I've thought after looking at the runtime of multiple episodes that they would surely have to be two-parters only to find that Nick simply shoots the suspect and wraps everything up in the last two minutes. (I think four minutes is too generous. tongue.gif)

I agree on this front. It was nice for Monroe and Rosalee to actually do something besides standing in the spice shop or Monroe's house explaining how horrible the Wessen of the week is.

This is typical TV behavior. Growing up we would watch the last five minutes of The Rifleman to see who mild mannered Chuck Conners would gun down today.

Yep, pretty much same thing happens every week on most procedurals (Castle, CSI's, NCIS's, etc.) and I remember it fondly from Stargate pre DVR days.  What....there's only 5 minutes left to wrap all this up?  Yet they did every week.  LOL

The only way Rosalee gives Adalind a run is after a bottle of Mad Dog 20/20 is put down.

OK, to each their own. In my opinion, Adalind is a skanky, nasty character, being portrayed by a marginally talented actor. I find her face unpleasant, and her body to be a bony mess. I would prefer both of the other female leads to her, both in and out of character.

Here is the difference:
Rosalee is the girl you would like to bring home to Momma.
Adalind is the girl you would like to smear chocolate syrup all over.

Lol. How do you really feel?biggrin.gif

Rosalee is a plain Jane at best. Well, mebbe a bit better after some Mad Dog. Nick's wife (can't even remember her name now) is about as exciting as a root canal.

Umm, no. Rosalee is what you'd do after all the Adalinds are gone, you've polished off the Mad Dog and have a hankering for plain white rice.wink.gif

So. After all our debate about how Vessen recognize a Grimm, they finally decide (or figured out) what to tell us. Eyes going black. Except we never saw it.

I thought the additional Nick, mother back story was particularly well done. It was one of my favorite episodes.
