Still liking the show though, although if one had a aversion to bees the latest episode would have been one to skip.
I kept wondering why the guy in the bathroom just didn't get out of the bathroom and close the door instead of messing with the stuck window

The bus drivers face was priceless as the flash mob busted out into YMCA. You could just see him mouth wtf. This show is really growing on me.

I thought this was the first "good" episode. The flashmob as a distraction for a murder was funny. The should he or shouldn't he dilemma at the end was not that strong.

Grimm seems to be hitting its stride. I really liked the way the writers setup the mystery of whether Nick the Grimm was being helped by Adalind the enigmatic little blonde and targeted by the bee lady or vice versa. To the bee lady's extreme prejudice, Nick chose Adalind. I'm also enjoying the puzzle of just where Nick's captain fits in. As usual, Monroe was a hoot.

"Grimm" and "Once Upon a Time" provide a nice balance .. enjoying both .. and have not really seen a throw a way episode in either .. Fall Network is looking up this year .. only problem is with Dexter, SOA, Homeland and what not .. DVR's getting a workout .. now, I just need to find the time to watch the entire Game of Thrones and Strikeback and get some DVR space freed up .. it's a good problem ..

^^^ Game of Thrones is perfect to save for a marathon session during the week from Christmas to New Years that is a wasteland of terrible programming.

I agree that an above average number of this season's new shows have turned out to be good. In addition to Grimm and Once Upon a Time, I have also enjoyed Revenge and Person of Interest.

I dropped all of my premium movie channels over a year ago, so don't get to see Dexter any more and have missed Game of Thrones. I will catch up via disc, however. I am now reading Book 5 in George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series, A Dance with Dragons. I have loved the books so will make sure to get the discs from Blockbuster once they become available.

Another winning eps IMHO. Very imaginative "Demon" this week and the actor who played him was equally impressive.

Only found one fault in this weeks show; Didn't Grimm's partner become infected with the demon? Maybe the effects don't last long, but I thought he was touched when they met in the bed & breakfast that morning. Guess the mojo doesn't work on guys the way it works on gals.

Love the limited way they are using Monroe and not overusing him. I just get tickled with his remarks ....

Interesting way they are developing the Captains character after dispatching the Grimm Reaper (LOLOLOL).... Maybe a Grimm protector???

Somehow I don't think he has our hero's welfare as a major priority. It is interesting how the character is developing...seems to inspire a lot of fear and respect, doesn't he? I found this my favorite episode so far. There were far fewer wtf moments, making it easier to accept the premise, and the villian was enjoyably creepy.I wondered about the touch also and was concerned for the partner. But maybe it does only work on the oppisite sex, or why wouldn't he made an effort to touch Grimm once he started catching on to him...Not sure though. The character is clearly coming back and maybe the touch will take on significance then. Like others have said, Monroe is great. In fact there is only one character I could care less about. Unfortunately its the hero. Is his hair superglued to his scalp? I find it distracting how it never moves, never a strand out of place. But even he was a little less annoying in this one.

I would think it would be more enjoyable if you could find at least the pilot online, for background. Monroe is more entertaining if you know what he's already had to put up with.

I thought the pilot was barely watchable until Monroe showed up. The 2nd was pretty bad until Monroe got involved. The 3rd was better overall, but still improved when...well, you get the idea. This was the first one that grabbed me from the get go, with Monroe still having the best moments.

Yep, like with the hallucinations of the snake, etc.

Exactly. Of course a few bumps of the Black Bush will make it right as rain.

I was under the impression it was the gas causing the hallucinations too.

I noticed that.
My HD (Comcast) broadcast was very good....really brought forth the fancy lighting and colors.

Additionally, the show's CGI (I saw) was excellent (nicely detailed).

After watching this episode, I have a couple of impressions.
Firstly, this series is definitely inspired by the CW's show: Supernatural.
In some respects, kind of a PG-rated version.

Beyond the PG vs. R-rated thing, the differences are more stark.
Supernatural has more humor and a meatier storyline; of course, it has been around a lot longer and has built upon a deeper development period.
Although Grimm's actors are competent, the performances of the 2 leads do NOT compare (again, Supernatural is a much more mature series).

Noticed a few mistakes too.
The initial auto accident scene....
The car that hit the woman was removed well before the body.
Wrong.
In spite of being many hours after incident, the victim's body wasn't covered when our dudes came to investigate.
Wrong.
The guy "hired" for surveillance was as obvious in his task as a pimple on the nose.
The "gas" thing was completely telegraphed, we knew our cop guy would succumb to its influence when he made it into the house.

Supernatural would NOT have made those mistakes.

Nevertheless, the series has potential and I'll stick with it...for now.

Also, nice to see the series kinda shows off the Portland, Oregon vibe (< an hour from my home).

He was until he stomped on froggy/food in the garden, "demon" then emitted repulsive pheros. Subtle. ... At least that's my take.

Ahhhh; makes sense. Squished froggie = pissed off demon = freed partner cop!
Got it - thanks!:

The mojo works the same. If you remember Eddie Monroe was becoming enchanted with the demon when they were in the bar and he was talking to the lady. When he walked out of the bar he told Nick Burkhardt that he was about to buy him a drink.

Captian Renard is listed as a Grimm hunter, and I believe that the reason why he attacked that reaper was because he was protecting his territory and he wants to kill Nick by his own hand. Don't forget he was the one behind the attack of Nick's aunt.
