I literally lol'd when Monroe pulled out three keys. This was an enjoyable episode.

We are really enjoying this season and the direction they are going. Much better than the last couple seasons.

Like I said, apparently Grimm powers are highly overrated.

They lost the original books because the trailer had to be destroyed. Airstream had demanded they do so because they were continually getting orders for the model that was bigger on the inside than the outside.

I knew immediately when Monroe said the lock was too big for the job and started tinkering with it.
I asked Ms. Oink, "You know what's coming?"
"No."
"The KEYS!"
"What keys?"

Yeah, pretty dumb alright.
This series is constantly guilty of lazy writing.

Digital storage of the Grimm books may have been considered too much of a risk by the older set. Aunt Marie was a librarian (or posed as one) after all...If she didn't scan them, it's easy to see why Nick wouldn't either. Too easy for the info to fall into unsuspecting hands.

Dazed and confused over high tech.

As opposed to having them destroyed by fire, flood, theft, etc .. they need to scan the books, dump the encrypted files on a tablet and voila, instant access, any time .. just my opinion of course ..

Well, now that they don't have to cough up $100K, Hadrian's Wall will want to swoop in and scan it all for their database...

For everything but the family tree book, it's probably an even swap if Nick can get cell/web access to NCIC-Wessen.

Oh, it makes perfect sense to do that. But consider how the other Grimms have managed to keep theirs safe for decades, even when they've died. It was just Nick's dumb luck that his Hexenbiest transformed girlfriend got hot under the collar and torched his.

True, but this is the 21st Century...a very different world from centuries past.

I think what has happened is the Showrunners eventually realized their little bit of Nick's trailer burning down left a BIG HOLE by destroying an important plot device going forward and are now trying to repair it via this Uncle Felix episode.

Like I said before...this series leaves a lot to be desired in the Writing Dept.

It's likely a safe bet the Chinese Grimms have THEIR books digitized ..

My dvr didn't record last Friday's Grimm so I had to watch it online at NBC which makes you sit through a ton of commercials. Monroe was in rare form with his yacking.

I really liked Friday's episode, lots happening and all of the main characters and then some are involved in the story-telling. Overall, I thought it was a very good episode for a show that at times I've grown somewhat weary of and had thought about dropping altogether, but Friday brought me right back into the fold.

Also, Nick and Monroe make for a great buddy team, some funny lines tossed back and forth between them.

I was rather disappointed that both of them were so stupid as to not even think, "Hmm... maybe the priest was lying?" Even after seeing that the church had Wesen in it, they weren't at all suspicious that maybe they weren't the only ones who knew a super awesome Grimm weapon was hidden there. It's amazing Nick has managed to bumble his way through 100 episodes when you think about how bad he is at his job.

Well, yes, there's that, as soon as the cleaner guy "voged" you would have thought Nick and Monroe would have been just a bit curious. Maybe they felt that getting to the "X" point was more important. Another moment of silliness was when Hank and Co were checking the crowd for the bad guy when the location they're at is nearly surrounded by multi-story buildings, yet none of them looked up. Still, a fun episode to watch.

And by the way, what ever happened to Nick's super powers, has that ever been addressed?

But when he leaves the Portland police can't even figure out that there is going to be a rally in the park with their boss. Nick is 5x smarter than his fellow Portlandiers.
