I'm not so sure.

She seems to be ingratiating herself with quite a few people in Storybrooke lately. She pals with the teacher, the sheriff, the pregnant girl and now she owes Mr. Gold a favor. Plus, Henry is drawn to her and, no matter how she denies it, that bugs the queen. Making friends is going to make her reconsider how long she might stay.

They implied that the queen was having "relations" with the sheriff, so I guess the question would be, is the queen using the sheriff as part of her master plan?

D'oh! That went right over my head.

I didn't start watching until 3 episodes had accumulated on the DVR, but then watched them all fairly quickly. I'm really enjoying this show.

Yeah, OK, I got that. I thought there must have been something else I was missing. Not enough to make me laugh out loud.

Church AV Guy must be a desired studio audience member for the taping of Whitney shows

Thought this episode was rather slow, except for the Mr. Gold/Rumple momments. Those parts really shined, that dude was wacked in the fairy world. Wow, he sure wants kids for some reason.

I continue to enjoy Once Upon a Time's fractured fairytales. The Cinderella/Ashley thread was a lot of fun. The Evil Queen/Mayor is also entertaining. The show reminds me of Stephen Sondheim's wonderful Broadway musical, Into the Woods, which also features fairytales with a twist.

The way they are weaving the fairy tale aspect with what's happening in Storybrook is very well done each episode. I also like the fairy tale twists. I THINK I know what's going to happen based on the fairy tale but then comes the unexpected change up. I like it.

I agree that the Rumpelstiltskin character is very well acted and interesting. And many of the other characters are very pleasant to look at

Agreed. A number of shows since "Lost" have attempted to integrate flashbacks/backstories into the plot, but none have done it as well as OUAT.

Stupid question.....

Since time has been frozen for 20+ years, are we supposed to believe that Cinderella/Ashley has been pregnant for that long?

Again, sorry for the stupid question, what do you think?

I never watched Highlander, but Forever Knight did an exceptional job with the flashbacks and making them apply to events of the present. Very often there would be some kind of twist from the past that directly affected the present.

I miss that show, though the last season did suffer a bit.

I'm a little confused on the timeline with Cinderella as well, since she was showing when Rumple got caught and Snow White wasn't. So her child should have been corn before Snow's; and Snow White's was born before the curse. Shw she should hae already had her baby? (Unless Emma was waaay premature.)

Emma was the only one locked in a tree when the curse came. Maybe that is the difference.

Maybe she was.

The original plan was for Emma to go into the tree while still inside Snow.

On the other hand, who says it's the same baby? Snow White appears to have never had a child in the real world. Maybe something happened to Cinderella's child in fairy tale world and this is Rumple's second chance at another one.

I know there was a curse and all... but why turn her baby into corn?

Yeah baby!  It's Halloween!

The writers from this show did an awesome interview in EW magazine.

They told us about the Evil Queen and if she knows what happened or not in today's world. Will put it in spoilers.

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
Spoiler
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
The writers said that since the Evil Queen cast the curse, she is completely aware of everything that happened and she knows every person is a fairy tale character and who they are.

They also confirmed that the clock being frozen at 8:15 was a nod to Lost.

You can find the article on EW's site if you want to see more with some minor spoilers and talk about what Season 2 will hold.

The writers. producers, whoever, has screwed up with regards to Henry's ability to leave Storybrooke.

While talking to Emma, Henry implied that he can leave Storybrooke, because he will come back because he has no where else to go.

That is incorrect. Like his mother Emma, he can leave whenever he wants and never return. He is an outsider. Even more so than his mother, since he was born in the real world and taken to Storybrooke as a result of adoption.

There was no way that the elevator was going to go up into an air shaft.

They could try and go up the rest of their lives, as it wasn't going to happen.

A so-so episode. The story line wasn't very interesting.

I just have to say that I can't stand the kid. He is so annoying. I wish he didn't have to be a part of each episode.

I do not have a problem with Henry at all. He certainly is no Wesley Crusher.

BTW, that was no sinkhole.
