This show is not even worth recording any longer.

Perhaps I misremembered.

If they showed someone ducktaping doug and then stabbing him a thousand times it might help slightly...

Fart jokes are the worst things ever. They have never been funny. It's embarrassing for Kristen Bell to put up with that.

Did not even realize this was back on. I'll have to catch it later in the week.

I bailed on this show midway through last season, as it had really gotten to be unwatchable. But I still have a subscription to this thread.

I noticed the new season was starting, so I set a recording again... just in case. But I have yet to watch the first show, so I don't know what I'll think when I finally get around to it.

I admire everyone who's stuck with this show this long. I bailed after the first season, my once fond feelings for Cheadle and Bell forever stained.

I just didn't have it in me to take any more, kind of like I felt about 'Californication'. I'll never look at Duchovny the same way. Did he really need the money that bad?

Oh my. It's all making sense to me where you live. Different area different thinkers.

These are just my opinions.

Same way I feel about your 'The Americans' feelings. Can't understand it.

BTW, always a good idea to put your location in your profile. Useful information for other members, as you've seen.

Need to do that myself. After my home theater was stolen in a home burglary I removed my location for security purposes.

Well, I gave it one more go, watching the first episode last night. Apparently I dozed off during it, awakening with the DVR at the end of the show. So I restarted it and this time worked hard to stay awake.

Simply awful. Exactly what is the story here? Why is Richard Schiff wanting to buy out Cheadle's so-called company? This is just all nonsense.

Coupled with Kristen Bell's no-nudity clause (really? during a sex scene??), while others have no such limitation, well, I'm plainly just distracted and put off by the whole show.

Pointless. No story line. The supporting male characters are awful, the dialog is dreadful, and I just don't know what the point is.

I watched it to completion, pressed DELETE, and then canceled the series... again. Sorry, that's just my feeling about this show.

What I love about any show is the ability to watch it on many levels. House of Lies strives in layering in the obvious showy self indulgent nudity sex and over the top protagonist with a harsh dose of reality. I loved the CEO rap as it reminds of ever stupid get pumped for "insert corporation" here campaign many of us have to sit through. I like the fact they didn't show Marty's face during the last scene. You know they are going to come back to that and add more layers to it through the season.

Does Kahn & Associates little song and dance work every time?

You would think consultants make seemingly rational arguments, with data or projections to support their arguments.

Instead they were straight emotionally manipulating the pot farmers and doing so blatantly.

Meanwhile in previews Jeanie has some crisis of conscience about her job next episode?

They may be sleazy business consultants but they're good people deep down?

I think satire would work better if there was more specificity. The corporate characters shown on the show are generic greedy types. Silicon Valley makes thinly-veiled jabs at figures from big tech and startup cultures.

Series finale ended with a whimper apparently, not much action in this thread.

Guess they figured being able to film in Cuba with the music and the dancing was some coup.

The finale felt rushed and disjointed. The shifting timeline was not that effective. Another quality show bites the dust.

Cuba was shown in a colorful light, I will say that. I didn't notice that the episode was the series finale.
