my wife likes it & I'm ambivalent. The concept is new-agey, but a big stretch even for an old scifi fan like me. If you ignore the premise, it's kind of like a modern Route 66/The Fugitive...little weekly character vignettes as the main character crosses paths with others along the way. At least that's what it seemed so far.

Only in this, they don't actually have to meet!

A whole lot of suspension of belief that the lottery winner who is searching for redemption just happens to be the one who almost saved Jack's ahh Martin's wife who happened to...who happened to....who happened to...

If it were just me, I would probably bail. But I am watching it with her. I haven't found it annoying enough yet to not watch it. Just not thrilled with it so far. Let's say I wouldn't care if it wasn't on

I just can't imagine where it's ultimately going and how the series can sustain itself past 1-2 seasons.

Yeah...that part does get a bit old, episode after episode.

I just deleted the last two episodes I hadn't caught up on. It's just not doing anything for me.

Interesting concept, lame execution.

It might be better with more of a "Mercury Rising" type of thing going on, except with more of a "Numbers" consultant device instead of "the government wants you dead for code cracking" deal. The danger could be from the bad guys that want his particular skills.

Then Kiefer could be all kinds of bad-a** with anyone who pops up.

Well "Jack" changed his "damn it" to "Jake"

If the kid has everything planned and knows what is going to happen, why the heck scream when getting touched when falling to his death? geesh..

In real life he'll be surely dead, he crosses streets without looking all the time.

I have the last two episodes just sitting on my DVR. Not that excited to watch them. I'll save 'em for when there's nothing else on.

I had said, in an earlier post, that Kiefer was constantly gasping for breath for no reason, but I guess the constant mantra "Jake, Jake, Jake....." could leave you breathless.

That's my thought as well. Not that's it's good or anything now but come on what's going to happen to take it to another level. I might have bailed already but somehow New Girl this year went from beyond lousy to almost greatness within a few episodes so I'll hang in a little longer. DVRing makes it much easier.

I can take the science hokey-pocky but the kid's Child Services or whatnot interaction plays even more unreal.

I loved the pilot. The biggest problem I have with this show is it seems like every episode is going to be the same formula. Kid gives number to Dad, Dad runs around town putting things together, show ends with everyone happy and everything works out perfectly for everyone. I'll give it 2 or 3 more episodes and if nothing changes I'll probably stop watching. They need to mix it up and have something go wrong or have the kid start talking or something. This kid basically has super powers yet no one seems to care or try to figure out what's going on, he just stays at the childrens facility and colors all day or whatever and then escapes when no ones looking. I'm just not buying into the concept I guess. Plus it's hard watching Keifer when I wish 24 was still on instead of this.

The kid is annoying and the constant JAKE screaming is getting annoying too.

That was the issue with Early Edition too, except Kyle Chandler and Fisher Stevens were more fun to watch than the character Kiefer has to play here.

Okay Jake just run out into the street while the light just happened to be green for you to cross , I won't stop you from getting struck by a car! Go ahead and try to get the kite I won't stop you since only you can retrieve it.

Can't believe they killed off Danny Glover - he was one of the best reasons to watch this show. He held the answers and the road map of what was going on!
Why kill him off?

Thought it was best episode to date. Although did wonder how someone could be mortally wounded but not realize it.

He knew the whole time that he was mortally wounded. That's why, when he confronted his boss, he said he had to do something meaningful, TODAY. I remember him really emphasizing the word.

I mean, he could have gone to the hospital and probably lived. But instead he got to die pointlessly. As if Jack Bauer wouldn't be able to get past a few measly construction workers, to rescue the homeless mom. Oh yeah, and he may have also saved a Jazz Museum. That's worth dying for, right? /Facepalm/

I have to admit that kid annoys me A LOT! Given that he always introduce every episode he comes off as a very smart kid and yet he won't say a word but prefers being a pain in the ass for his dad with all his clues

But I do think the show gets very repetitive and yes, *IMO* Jake's behavior is getting annoying, sorry. But that's just me. I will continue to watch btw but I hope it gets somewhere cause we can figure what's gonna happen in each episode pretty quickly now.

TV Notes
Fox's Touch' Renewed For Second Season
By Nellie Andreeva, Deadline.com - May 9, 2012

Amidst its slew of new series pickups, I've learned that Fox also has renewed midseason drama Touch for a second season. The news comes on the heels of a ratings rebound for Tim Kring's series starring Kiefer Sutherland following a post-premiere slide. 20th TV and Chernin Entertainment are producing.

The jury is still out on fellow freshman drama series The Finder, which had shown some signs of life on Friday, but its chances don't look good. Alcatraz is out of the picture, especially after Fox renewed J.J. Abrams' other bubble drama series, Fringe.

It has been a great afternoon for Chernin Entertainment, whose Fox comedy pilot Ben & Kate (formerly Ben Fox Is My Manny) received a series pickup an hour and a half ago.

I didn't see 13 episodes mentioned. Still however many shows get 13 committed and later receive a back 9 pickup.

I have six episodes stacking up on my DVR. I'm just not excited to sit and watch them. Do they get better? I guess I could make a drinking game out of it. Every time Kiefer says dammit or Jake, you drink. It he says dammit, Jake. Then you have to take a shot.
