If what I say is such a joke, why are you making such a big deal about it?

Because it's obvious you've never worked in television, yet when you get information refuting your opinion from those actually at the event, you dismiss it.

Because those of us who have a closet full of credentials for everything from the last 9 Super Bowls to Olympics, US Opens, NBA Finals, Stanley Cup, World Series, All-Star games and host of other major events wonder why people like you even bother posting on a forum and then, when you don't get the answer you want, try and refute it.

You can believe whatever you want about the halftime show; I'll get a nice fat paycheck for doing this and I bet it's bigger than the one you get from McDonalds.

As alluded, I thought the show was visually stunning and well produced. And as expected, she performed some of her prior hits and one new song. What else would you expect? I though it was well done and entertaining. I particularly enjoyed Like A Prayer with Cee Lo and the gospel choir. And remember, it was not a concert, but a stage show. And you can't expect live singing all the time when you have all of the choreography and theatrics involved. Now, you may have found it boring if you're not prone to enjoy Madonna as an entertainer, but I thought it was well done.

I definitely enjoyed the halftime show, even though she did appear to lip-sync all of the vocals.

I have to recode my capture because the 30 Mbps H264 video won't play on my computer, or even on my Blu-ray player as a MKV wrapped file. Redoing it @ 20 Mbps

I too did not have any issues with the Half Time show, thought it was fine and entertaining. Found the stage to be really impressive, that was truly something to pull off for a half time show. Madonna was fine, I don't' care if she lip synched.

Exactly. And the part I bolded seems to be the hardest seems to be the hardest for people here to grasp.

Didn't see it. Did see the brief blur-out ... I think. For a second there, I thought she/it/whatever made a Moulin Rouge style "can-can" move. (Trying to keep it clean for the sake of the kiddies. )

I thought it was great. Yes, she synced most (all?) of the vocals. I listened in stereo, not surround.

Great.

Ugh. Another stinker of a halftime show. Don't think the music industry has been in this bad of shape since the disco era.

1000% better that that crap from last year.
I've never been a Madona fan, but at least she didn't make me want to puke like many past half time shows have. I enjoyed seeing her stumble a couple of times. She didn't do bad for her age. I enjoyed the show.

It was pitiful.

If an artist perforns live they should perform live.

If the artist chooses to run around the stage (I guess it was an attempted dance????) rather than sing I have no problem with that BUT if an artist chooses not to sing and makes believe they are and also does a half assed dance I call it like it is. I say it is terrible. The artist made an artistist judgement mistake and should learn from it.

The statge as at all Super Bowl's was very exciting, colorful and well done.

The artist was terrible, just terrible. Love or hate her music, the show last night was aweful because the artist failed.

What you got back home, little sister, to play your fuzzy warbles on? I bet you got little save pitiful, portable picnic players. Come with uncle and hear all proper! Hear angel trumpets and devil trombones. You are invited.

No. It is an objective evaluation of a performance rather than like most posts here that are simply "I hate Madonna" or "I love Madonna."

I wonder why there were so many motion artifacts? And why choose this frame rate? Maybe there's an answer in the tech thread; I haven't waded through it.

Whether or not you like Madonna (and clearly some posters here do not), it was a stunning presentation. Hats off to everyone involved who made it happen.

The audio sounded good to me. No muddy bass.

You don't seem very logical.

Can you make an objective case that the show was good?

Not impressed with the lipsyncing, but the stage show was pretty cool - especially in the overhead shots with the things projected on the field. I was more impressed that they could pull off setting that up in such a short time.
Madonna isn't one of my favorite singers by a long stretch - but I would have actually liked to hear her SING during the performance - sure she was dancing around, but she's done these songs so many times (in theory) she should be able to sing the lyrics and remember her choreography.
That said - I know I couldn't do better...
