Looks and sounds great on truTV HD via Comcast. Perhaps a little dark, but I'm sure it's the Dayton Flyers gym. Kinda surprised the CBS "A" announce team is making the calls tonight, but in some ways it's charming that CBS is showing a little respect for the play-in teams. Rest assured it will probably be the only time these kids have Nance calling a game they're in during their basketball careers.

Let the dance begin !!!!!

I am getting audio/video breakups during the halftime show on D*.

Perhaps I misremembered.

Picture is dark but I believe that's the arena and not a Turner problem. Other than that, picture is great.

FiOS TV NYC

Motion artifacts on the players as the move.
Heavy macroblocking on medium to fast movement on the closeup camera shots.

I haven't seen it yet myself, but there were comments about the TruTV broadcasts being dark last year as well, it may not be the arena itself.

Brightness seems fine. A bit much edge/detail enhancement for my tastes. Encoder seems to be struggling on fast pans and high motion closeups, particularly on the reds. Seeing a lot of aliasing on the lines on the court, but I don't really watch much basketball so I don't know how common that is on 1080i broadcasts. FiOS in Dallas.

The aliasing on the lines on the court was happening last year.

March Madness app game video on iPAD has much better PQ with no motion artifacts or macroblocking on the closeup camera shots compared to TruTV.

Real bad color miss match on that hand held camera used for the wide shot on the coach and player interview at the end of the game.

At: 9:42pm ET TruTV just showed the opening for the second game with no audio then went to break then back to the studio to fill time.

Screen aspect ratio is being changed when they add the score bar on TV which is annoying.

Brightness looks good, but ditto on the aliasing. It's not just on the court but in screen sweeps as well....almost reminds me of bad 720p/1080i conversion from days of old.

Watching via Cox Cable in Arizona.

Watching Iona/BYU game, the brightness seems fine, too much edge enhancement though, the aliasing is nasty as well.

Comcast - SFBA

It does look like a 720p/1081 conversion.

The use of the "A" team had absolutely nothing to do with the teams, or the perceived respect level for the teams playing. It had everything to do with the two special guests in attendance at the first game. Several weeks ago, CBS was informed that POTUS and UK PM Cameron would be in attendance. Naturally, CBS jumped at the chance for an interview at halftime as well as the obligatory shots of him interacting with the crowd and kissing babies.

Consider also that there are second and third round games in Louisville and Columbus (each about a 90 minute drive from Dayton). The "A" team will have a short drive to the next destination for games (even if they are not on CBS). CBS probabily took that into consideration when making the assignments.
