Here is a link to a terrific Andy Greenwald piece about Veep. The first half of it is about House of Cards, which I didn't read because I don't watch the show. But scroll down in the piece until you see our little Selena's picture and start reading. Greenwald likes the show as much as many of us do. Enjoy!

Hard to sustain this show when it's not a national election year but still looking forward to the premier.

I watched the premiere last night and thought it was hilarious. They're maintaining the same level of writing quality. I enjoyed the Veep's new Iowa handler, but wonder how they can keep him with all the existing characters. I hope that other character (avoiding spoilers) is not gone for good.

I wish we had gotten more than two brief glimpses of Sue at the wedding. She looked very nice in that dress and with her hair down.

"When it melts, does it look like Texas?"

Dan and Jonah had all the best moments this episode. Thankfully Jonah doesn't appear to be gone for good and I wouldn't be surprised if he gets hired for the campaign trail.

When they started hitting the campaign trail and Jonah was being bounced around I thought the show lost a lot of it's spark. They just didn't have enough comedy friction.

However I thought the final two episodes were very funny. Precisely because it put them back DC where they could run over each other. Not to mention the show works best when a crisis is happening.
