I'm behind schedule. I just watched this weeks season finale. I pretty much enjoyed it. Two questions--With Oliver driving off into the sunset, what does that mean for next seasons shows? Will it be an "Arrow" show minus Oliver, but the other members of the team taking over? Or, does he return in some new capacity? And-when Oliver and Ra's were in the final fight on the bridge, it appeared (to me) that Ra's chopped something out of Oliver's hand. Was it Olivers sword or did he just "whack" Oliver's hand quite hard? At first blush, I thought he had chopped off Oliver's fingers. Obviously, that is incorrect. Thanks for any info.

It means Felicity will either be killed early next season, get abducted and disappear for an extended period of time, or go into a long-term coma. Or, when Oliver finds out Sara is still alive, he'll realize he's still got feelings for her. Another words, their blissful state of coupledom will last no more than one or two episodes.

Obviously Ollie will be returning next season. The showrunners indicated that next season will be much lighter in tone. Because of Sara's death, they kept the tone rather dark this season.

During the final battle, Ollie stopped Ra's sword by grabbing it with his hand. In the last scene with Ollie and Malcolm, Ollie's hand is all bandaged up, presumably because it was cut up from grabbing the sword.

Thanks for clearing that up for me! After seeing Ollie's hand bandaged, I should have realized that is what occurred.

I missed this, but nobody else posted so I guess I wasn't the only one.

Arrow is going Green next season. He recycled his old leathers and got some new armor.
Spoiler!

Oh yeah and Amell went on stage at Comic-Con and introduced himself in costume as Green Arrow. Which is the title of the first episode next season.

Looks like they went to Magneto's garage sale for poor Diggle.

I don't understand how something like this could have made it through the entire approval process of a production. Unless they somehow convinced themselves it was okay.

Must be a comic-inspired costume. Looks ridiculous though.

That's probably why it got approved.

Minion: "Does this look like something a comic book character would wear?"
Boss: "It looks silly enough to me. Approval granted!"

It offers good head protection but for the torso I'm not sure leather is up to the task. I know...it's probably some kind of ballistic leather.

Yeah but in DC and Marvel television shows actual body armor doesn't offer any ballistic protection either, so I don't think it makes much difference.

In both universes a handgun bullet will take down the most well-protected elite and toughest of dudes when fired at the correct moment in the script.

Neal McDonough is a potentially great addition. He does a menacing guy well so should be a better villain than charisma-free R'as. I wonder if he'll bring his wrist-gun?

If anything the helmet looks worse in motion because it a seems a really poor choice for close quarters vision. Looks pretty small scale too in comparison with Diggle's body.

As much as this season might be messy, I'm really looking forward to a three (or four if you count dead Constantine) series crossover. That could be a lot of fun. I do love a good crossover!

Now this is something to come home to.
