I just saw a clip of a charity/celebrity American Ninja Warrior episode where Steven Amell crushed the first round course and then he wanted to do the second round course because it had the Salmon Ladder as the first obstacle. He killed that too, but dropped on the next one. This was the second round course which they normally do after some rest, but he just wanted to do the Salmon Ladder since that's Arrow's claim to fame and it added to the amount given to charity.

You can't fault Amell for not putting the work in. He trains hard, his acting has improved a lot, he does a lot of promotion and interacts with the fans. He cares about the show and he was one of the people who wanted to drag the show back to street level after the last season of mystical doomsday dome romance horror.

Just to be sure, I recall that the Prometheus reveal happened when he was fighting Vigilante, and in some confusing scene, it looked like Prometheus threw him off a roof or something, and then we found out Prometheus was Chase. Was the implication that Chase killed Vigilante so he could have Oliver to himself, and therefore we never got to find out who Vigilante was, or was the scene confusing because Chase was actually both of them, and he metaphorically killed Vigilante once the character had served his purpose of driving Oliver to where Chase wanted him to be, or...?

Poor writing is the usual reason. According to Guggenheim the identity of Vigilante will be revealed next season.

Because:

a) they forgot about him
b) didn't know what they were doing with that character
c) realized they have no story next year and needed a safety

Wow, you know the cast is too big when the writers can't even remember how many characters they have in play. x.x How sad.
