I see it was announced that HBO Go is now live on Xbox360 (or maybe it was April 2), I am wondering if anyone has any info on exactly when it will come to the PS3?

I have done some research but cannot find anything definitive but wow, having access to the full lineup of HBO content from any era (HBO On Demand doesn't come close) would be pretty powerful. Maybe I would watch "The Wire" from its beginning.

That's what I've been waiting for a long time now. I suspect Sony is up to some shenanigans here, as HBO Go is a direct competitor to their own content delivery services.

It's already live on 360. I've been using it for 2 days. Loving it too. Directv gave me a free 3 month trial of HBO, which I then used to activate HBO Go. More than enough time to watch a bunch of shows and movies that I had missed.

Are there restriction on using HBO GO for 360 based on your cable/sat provider? I know Comcast was - maybe still is - blocking the use of HBO GO to their customers who try to access it via Roku.

Yes, the TV provider has to allow HBO Go access. So far it looks like Comcast and Time Warner have not come to an agreement with Microsoft/HBO so you can't use it if you have their service.

DirecTV I know does allow HBO Go access on portable devices (iPhones, iPads, Android, Computer) and on the xBox360, but they do not allow access on the Roku.
