Pilot was last night. I enjoyed it alot. Nasty humor and the Beek. Will have to see what they do to sustain the pace and tone.

Jerry. Just remember. Its not a lie . . . if you believe it. GC

I was a bit shocked in the fake nudity censorship thingy.. (she was clearly wearing skin color underwear).. (I wouldn't mind this being used on 2BG)

Masturbating neighbor was like whaaat?

Wild plan to get rent, security deposit and have new roomy bail. It was pretty far out there for network tv. I don't even recall any cable shows going this far. Actually hope this stuff continues.

Yeah, I could have done without that. Mostly because it got me to wondering what Wilson was doing behind the fence all those years on Home Improvement.

What channel is this on?

ABC; after Modern Family.

I concur that I haven't seen anything quite like this on network television, not even most of the skits on SNL. Very raunchy and frequently in rather bad taste.

I liked it quite a bit. I hope it doesn't just self-destruct, as a good deal of it was really, really funny. And James Van Der Beek showed himself to be a good sport, and an asset to the overall chemistry.

Gotcha. I was just asking because the thread title and thread body did not indicate. Hard to know get the information w/o googling.

That wasn't funny at all. Just kind of skeevy and base. Worst aspect of the show.

The lead actress is fine but Van Der Beek is the best part. The second episode uses him more, which is funnier. Like NPH in Harold and Kumar.

I gave it a Season Pass for now, better than a couple other pilots that were either one-and-done or couldn't even make it through the pilot.
Kind of far fetched like many other programs of it's type but at least it wasn't just plain stupid as some others have been. They are pushing boundaries thats for sure.

Definitely not going to be for everyone. Kind of wicked, nasty sense of humor.

Same here. Color me surprised. Agreed about the Masturbating neighbor. It just seemed out of place, even in this sort of show.

Like wise. I haven't found any broadcast sitcom entertaining in years. I just wish this was on one of the premium networks.

Because the nudity wouldn't need to be fuzzed out.

Yup and they would be able to use "adult" language.

Where the heck did this show come from...and how the heck did it end up on network TV? How can one hate a character that gargles with Peppermint Schnappes????

This week's was not as funny as the pilot, but it was still pretty good. Hope it hangs in there.

Same here! Loved the show and Ritter was spot on. Unlike other shows, so far this is not OnDemand, so I missed the pilot but I'm in all-the-way, based on this episode. (And I never watch network comedies).

Pretty much the same except I thought this episode was a bigger drop in quality but the pilot was pretty good. Dawson is a great sideshow for this show.
