Yeah, I agree. At least they haven't thrown in the towel like procedural-happy CBS, whose last big swing for the fences was 6 years ago with 'Jericho' (man, I still miss that show).

Well, a few episodes of Revolution could make anyone nostalgic for Jericho. But hey, cheer up. Rachael and Aaron are headed for Colorado, so we could get another look at those beautiful Kansas mountains as soon as tonight... wink.gifsmile.gif

Seriously, though, Jericho had its problems, but it was orders of magnitude more realistic and just generally better than Revolution.

You think Revolution will still have two viewers in its tenth season? Who will be the other one? wink.gif

Seeing as it is NBC, though, I’d say it might be good for three seasons. The big question is, when it does get cancelled, will fans send the network brass jars full of nanites?

The difference here is that the people who were on board with Jericho were on board in a big way. We loved that show, we were just questioning the direction the writers were taking us. The first half of season one was quickfire fantastic all around. Then the relationshipy episodes started, the conspiracy that this was all domestic terrorism, the fact that Cheyenne wasn't as benevolent as they first seemed.

Meanwhile, as we see in the series finale, things in Texas were status quo (much like things in Georgia seem to be on Revolution, minus the electricity). But at least Jericho didn't have nanites, and was firmly grounded in reality, if not at least within the realm of possibility.

Perhaps that they were trying to use flashlights with thirteen year-old batteries and expecting them to actually shine.

They used the flashlights when they were "first" looking for the nuke - during daylight hours......then once the nuke carrier ran away with it (because Charlie only "winged" him), they went to look for the nuke again that night (with torches to be able to see), but they never brought out the flashlights to aid their search.

Nope, neither with one with a monster in it...

They are suddenly going supernatural, it's a monster made out of millions of nanites..

That's a whole 'nother problem... that they have magic gas and magic batteries that still work perfectly after 15 years... smile.gif

Ok... I see your point now. I guess I had missed that, and just assumed they were still using the flashlights... but I can't say for sure I remember seeing them again, so maybe my brain just saw what it wanted.

Several.

I've been in buildings like that with multiple basement levels and underground parking. Some labeled those floors as B1, B2, etc., but if a structure was totally underground aside from ground level, there would be no need to make that designation.

Yes, my company I work for, has an old, old building, built in the 1800's that is rarely used and the vast majority of the building is sub floors under ground. The elevator counts up as it goes down as there is nothing above the first floor that is on ground level.

The tower does rise up. Start at the bottom floor and look up, the tower is rising up off the ground floor.

We haven't seen the tower yet, so we don't know if it does indeed rise above the horizon. Maybe it's a tower AND has sub-basements. We literally do not have enough information yet.

Speaking of information, we now know why they've been keeping Aaron around for the past 15 episodes. He's important somehow. Maybe that's why the Matheson's were keeping him alive. No explanation yet for his tubby-ness.

I can't believe I'm still watching this show. Terrible writing, terrible acting, terrible miscasting (I can't stand the guy who plays Miles), terrible characters. And what is the point of Aaron?????

Really, forget about the flashlights and the towers, what about the overwhelming stench of a huge "shark jumping" moment when we see what's in that elevator?

All I can think about after watching this week's episode, was how much I'd like a pair of Aaron's glasses. Wow, those things stayed on during an entire fight and never moved. Nanite fused eyewear that stays on your face!! good for post apocalyptic tussles with roaming thugs. Could've used those back in grade school.

Did anything else interesting happen? biggrin.gif

I'm afraid they'll gonna earn even more viewers to see what's inside the elevator..

Since the elevator has been sealed off for some time, I'm guessing it's some sort of nanite "guard-dog". Note that the attack occurred at level 7, not level 12, so maybe they were working their way up. Of course, now they're all the way to the top. What an idiot that guard was - going down there alone, violating orders, with no backup. I can't remember what color shirt he was wearing, but I hope it was red (probably is now anyway). Give him a Darwin Award.
