Will both Canada and U.S. showings be on the same day for this sprint to the finish? The ratings must have really dropped in both countries for the last episode order to be shortened to only six.

When does Syfy get the latest season?

Better than nothing though!
It at least gives them a chance to wrap up the storyline. I'll buy that for a dollar.

I have seen no Siffy premiere date, which is why I only bumped this thread. It may not have even been picked up in the US at all, considering how reluctant Showcase was to renew it.

It says on the SyFy Continuum page that it returns in 2015 for season 4.

It looks like Kyra Zagorsky from Helix will be in season 4.

With only 6 episodes... it wouldn't surprise me if SyFy didn't get the series in the US until after it has aired in its entirety on Showcase first. That would probably let them get the show a little cheaper too for the final run. SyFy could even run it like a mini-series and do it over the course of a week! (Ok, I'm dreaming of that last part... probably won't happen)

The Doctor... the Original, you might say!

And perhaps on Netflix a month after it airs on Syfy. That happened last time. In fact I think NF sunk some money into the series for the rights.

Well, I guess I'll bump this thread one last time to say that the finale was about as good of an ending as I expected. I really didn't think that Kiera would get to return to the future she left, but at least it wasn't all for nothing. It's somehow satisfying that technically, the "terrorists" won in the end, because as Kiera slowly learned, they weren't the ones in the wrong, after all. I was hoping for a Magda Apanowicz cameo, but at least old Alec confirmed that Emily was a big part of how he was able to build a better future. Now I guess bad future Kiera is going to have to room with good future Alec, because she can't afford to run into good future Kiera. Talk about sacrifice for making a better future; her life from now on is really going to suck. Almost all her friends from 2012 are dead, and her family from 2077 already has a Kiera in their lives. At least Kellog got his just dues.

I was satisfied with the ending. I was getting very frustrated with Kiera's belief that her original future with Sam was even remotely possible.

I suppose they could have done a season developing a technology that allowed them to view future alternate universes with the ability to target specific ones for travel to.

Or a season trying to find that "one thing" to cancel out all of the changes. (but that would leave us with a rotten future)

Or an outside force or group stepping in to manage the timelines.

But most other story lines could still leave us with the same ending.

Sturgeons Revelation: "Ninety percent of everything is crud."
My Thoughts: "A reasoned argument must share some basic common points."

Yep. As far as series finales go, it was very good. I was glad to see that didn't do a lot of the heavy, sentimental style "say goodbye to the characters" scenes. Those drive me nuts. I want good plot!

I also liked the finale'.
It moved along quickly and rapped up several storylines.

Kellog? Yeah, he got his just desserts!

FWIW..
Seems time travel takes it's toll over three years- RN from the pilot episode in 2012 vs. the final episode in 2015..

She looks the same to me... slightly different makeup in those pics and WAY different lighting in the two scenes.

Most of Rachel's acting range mostly consists of crinkling her forehead slightly. She does it for every expression. The only way you know what the emotion is, is by how she arranges her mouth - frowning, smiling, relieved, exasperated, pursing her lips, etc. The problem with that split-photo is that she's only doing her crinkle thing in one of the pics.

But really, with a body like that, who cares?

It's not working as well for her either, IMO. Seems like she thinned out her eyebrows. LOL
