WNBC-DT

Bob Costas at the area did the intro for the Stanley Cup playoff then tossed to Mike Emrick for a taped intro for about teams.

The NBC Sports NHL studio hosts are at the arena to.

KXAN (Austin) via Directv

Anyone else's video quality horrendous? Pregame looked fine.

ETA: OTA looks great, switched to it.

WNBC-DT (1 SD sub channel) FiOS.

I'm getting motion artifacts on the ice when the camera pans.
It's an issue WNBC has had for months with any large areas of one color and they can't seem to fix it.
They were working on it a few months ago after the sub channel for Universal Sports was removed.
Ironically NBCSN has the same problem.

Other then that PQ is good.

I'm noticing the game video shown on MSG+ seems to be from a separate feed that just has the NBC Sports bug on the top right with no score graphic.

Is this a special media feed?

I watched the first 2 games of the finals OTA from KCRA. I heard, during game 2, that Monday would be game 3. I didn't hear that NBC, the network which KCRA broadcasts, wouldn't have the game. I checked the satellite guide this afternoon for KCRA at 5:00pm, and even 7:00pm. No game was in the guide. Whoever decided that NBCSN should have games 3 and 4 should be canned immediately. Why cover the first 2 games on network? What a f@#k*@! joke.

I hope the Kings win in game 4. That way even the idiots who designed the coverage will more likely be canned.

My first view of this thread was today, unfortunately. Wow.

I assume so. I noticed this as well with MSG showing footage in Rangers postgames, they would even show some angles/content that was not shown in the original broadcast.

Watching Game 4 on CBET (CBC) via Comcast in Detroit and it looks great. Really enjoy the CBC coverage over the NBC coverage.

The NHL must be crazy. They put the first two Stanley Cup final games on broadcast TV then switch to a channel that is only available in the most expensive package making it unavailable. I was a huge hockey fan as a kid growing up in Minnesota (I flooded our back yard to make a rink). I got enthused and decided to maybe follow hockey since the L.A. Kings were doing well. Then suddenly the 3rd game was unavailable. Oh well football season starts in 3 months.

They want you to call your provider to request they move NBCSN to a wider package.

It certainly depends on your TV provider. Here, NBC Sports Network is included in the lowest basic cable tier.

In the 12 years I have been with Dish Network there have been exactly 5 times there was something in a package higher than mine I wanted to watch. It would have cost me $1440.00 over those 12 years for 5 programs. In two of the cases I went to a sports bar and watched the game. The point is I understand why NBC Sports wants to exclusively broadcast the game to increase channel demand. What I don't understand is why the NHL puts such an important game in a backwater channel. The NHL needs to promote their sport better.

Just my opinion.

Congrats to the LA Kings. What an amazing run.

On a side note, I am extremely disappointed in how quickly NBC wanted to end their broadcast. Like we really couldn't wait a few more minutes to see our local news. Come on. There's no way the broadcast should have stopped that soon with the cup still being passed around. (And yes, I know they moved to the NBC Sports Network, but I still think they should have continued a few more minutes on the main network)

Congratulations to the new Champions of the NHL.. Couldn't believe how the Devils lost their composure so fast. They took nine penalties, including Bernier’s major and 10-minute misconducts to David Clarkson and Ryan Carter. Those 3 goals in 5 minutes sealed the game..
