The same as CMAs on CBS the audio of the performances is stereo and the award presentations are 5.1,
presenters in the center channel, music in the L & R and audience in the L & R and surrounds.
Is this standard CBS policy for awards shows that the performances are mixed as stereo?
Just seems odd it's more then one award show on CBS using the same audio setup with stereo performances.

Comcast, CBS affiliate in San Francisco. The audio was good but my surrounds were pretty tame. The show itself was very entertaining and the PQ was consistently good throughout.
