Man, I had no idea....

Why on earth would anyone today pay a DJ more than 10 bucks an hour?
Back in my day, DJs worked for minimum wage or FREE!

The guys that repelled down from the main grandstand were hanging there for the whole race!

I have indeed said to some friends that had these guys been terrorists, it could have been a very, very bad day. I recall reading a scathing article in Autoweek back when F1 ran at Indy that security there was ridiculously tight. Even Mary Hullman, who at the time was, I think, chairwoman of IMS, was harassed at one point. But I guess Bernie's thugs are only good at being pricks to the fans and other paying customers (Buxton has made the same comment). When they are faced with a real security threat, even from a bunch of well coordinated tree huggers that want to hang some banners, they have nothing. I bet it will not be pleasant for fans at F1 races for the foreseeable future.

I've noticed that too, "security" is all about looking tough and they can crack down on petty things but when something actually does go down what the hell??? It takes forever to respond and cops are too scared to do anything about it. I wonder how that would have gone down in the USA.

Fox Sports really screwed the pooch with its labeling and scheduling of MotoGP!

Everyone is gung-ho taking away Grannies fireworks, giving her a speeding ticket and patting her down for drugs but take an hour to enter a school where there's a gunman opening up mad.gif Don't get me started on the places that "search" people but never even use metal detectors...but now i'm just rambling

I think they would've been sniped off the building and questioned later. Seriously though, I don't see them even getting close in the US or even England for that matter.

If they want to truly prove their bravery, lets see them try it at Bahrain. I'd hate to be hanging on a parachute watching an inbound SCUD getting bigger.

Agreed,I don't see that happining in
the US and I don't think tree huggers and greenies are welcome in Texas.

In the US all they would have to do is apply for a permit. It could not be declined because of Free Speech and Equal Rights. EVERYTHING is considered socially acceptable now. Havent you been watching the news?

Not if you live in the Middle East. Turkey has them all along their border because of whats happening in Syria. Saudi Arabia and Israel are also using them.

Exactly. And some gay rights leaders like the Supreme Court judge that just married a homosexual male couple.
Woops. Is that off topic?

Tupac wasn't a "DJ". They are considered stars to some. It helps immensely if you have younger people around you (kids) you tend to find stuff out quickly. I'm trying to remember the show on ABC (of course cancelled) where they copied Deadmaus in a scene.

Glad to see that nasty street race in Valencia is gone,Korea can go bye-bye as well.Austria should be interesting, looks like they modified the A-1 Ring.I have my doubts on Mexico City,is it a street course or the old track used long ago?Would love to see Turkey back on the calender, awesome track, turn 8 rocks.

lol I spent an hour trying to figure out how to post a different picture but could not figure it out. It was awesome.
It is a picture of a homeless guy with a big beard, all dirty and nasty looking, sitting cross legged in an alley with trash all around him...but he has an open laptop in his lap that hes looking at. biggrin.gif
I wanted to post that so bad it was killing me.
