I was just watching something about MotoGP at the beginning of the race at Aragon, Spain. They said the bikes lean 64 degrees and their tire contact patch is the size of a credit card. They also go as fast as 220 mph on the straights.

McLaren doesnt make it into Q3 again. If they dont get a podium this season it will be the first time since 1980.
Renault ties Ferrari for the number of poles (208). How is that possible? Has Renault been around Grand Prix racing that long?
You guys remember the Renault Fuego?

And of course, there's King Kenny. KR is probably one of about three or four people in the world that could do what he could do with a TZ750 on a dirt track. That thing is the Devil incarnate, and would take the soul of most riders straight to hell. 34 years later, he hasn't lost a step.

SV does it again.
Good action further back though.

Hulkenberg is definitely THE HULK in Korea.
Holding off Lewis and Alonso was major character-building, to say the least.
Kimi goes from 9th to 2nd...it's almost starting to get Old Hat.wink.gif

All in all, this was a good race....particularly the action behind Vettel.

Agreed. Things at the very front were kinda boring, the rest certainly not. Stuff breaking all over the place.

Good fighting on Hülkenburg, holding off Hamilton. Pretty impressive. Cool to see a less-represented team do that well.

Another hard day to be a Paul DiResta fan though. frown.gif

Funny, I was going to post BEFORE the race that for people who say F1 is boring this year watching Seb run away and win, that they should just concentrate on the racing behind him, for thats been really good this year. You said it Oink, a good race (behind Seb).

Kimi in the podium interview, man, the iceman speaks, listening to him talk you would never know he just had that great run from 9th to 2nd, he sounded so monotone and almost down, so whats new?

Sauber and Hulkenburg were really impressive, this guy is good.

Ferrari and Mercedes in quite a fight for second in the Constructers Championship this year, could go either way.

And what the hell was with that fire car or whatever it was on the track when the safety car was out there too, that confused everyone!!

At least the typhoon didnt affect the race, and i enjoyed it except for Ferrari not doing better.

Absolutely agree....there's always good racing thru the pack.

Yep, Kimi is Kimi. If he ever shows emotion, I think I will have a heart attack. He is one hell of a driver though and I'm glad we will have him back next year. We sure do need him! Massa proved again today what we have all been saying. It's time for him to go!

I wouldn't either. They are very strong. Massa isn't going to help and Alonso can't do it alone. Mercedes has a good shot, but they are so hot / cold between races, it's hard to say.

Agreed. Can you imagine what Vettel thought when he came around the corner and saw a Jeep on the track putting along slowly? eek.gif

IIRC, they have, which is another reason I think they will lose 2nd place in the constructor's to Lotus and / or Merc.

How about Rosberg's nose snapping down like it did? That was pretty crazy.

Tell that to Dani Pedrosa after he flipped the bike at Aragon when he lost his T/C sensor on the bike! Different era then, there are different riders now able to attain speeds and lean angles not possible with the old 500 two strokes. I am anti T/C but it's here to stay.

Same thing I said about Singapore. Some good racing behind Vettel. But it didnt last as long as Singapore. There was some good fighting for about 10 laps straight and still some of the best racing this season. At Korea it was hit and miss.
Vettel wins by 4 seconds. I guess thats better than 30.
Very impressed with Sauber/Hulkenberg. It was unbelievable how well he was able to put the power down coming out of that last corner leading into the main straight. Even with DRS Hamilton couldnt pass him.
Great day for Lotus. Good day for Mercedes. Bad day for Ferrari.
Both McLarens finished in the top 10. Thats pretty good for them lately.
Glad to see Raikkonen seemingly fit.
Grosjean finally gets another podium. Good for him. I still hate him for wrecking Alonso at Spa last year but **** happens and he hasnt wrecked anyone lately. Seems like an alright guy really.
Has anyone heard what the "2-2" failure was that Vettel had near the end of the race?

Im surprised no one has mentioned Dario Franchitti's wreck at the Houston Grand Prix. It was pretty nasty. Fractured his back and ankles. Injured 13 fans. Amazing that no one was killed. The way that Franchitti hit the fence hes lucky all he did was fracture his ankles. That fence could have easily made him another Alex Zanardi. A real testament to the strength of the tubs.

Fan video from the grandstand. I do not normally watch Indycar, but there was so much online chatter about this that I did some Googling.

Scary stuff.

The worst part about T/C is that every squid on Decker canyon can do what has taken others years to perfect. The cake is a lie.

Unless the name is "Newey", they can sign whomever they want. Is there anyone employed by any of the non-RB teams that would really enable McLaren to go toe to toe with Newey and RB?

I saw more chatter that Brawn was again on the way out at Merc. Not like that is news. A friend did say that he thought there might be some potential for Brawn to help raise McLaren's game. He pointed out that the existing McLaren was nothing to write home about, and that car was ostensibly a Paddy Lowe creation. And with PL now at Merc, his influence has not made the existing Merc into a world beater. Flashes of greatness, normally short lived, and at other times, significantly off the pace.
