So let me get this straight.....you think it was a "good" idea to put a woman on the podium in Bahrain despite their beliefs on women?

She is completely entitled to be on the podium, but doing so at that track was a bad call as Bond mentioned.

Evidently, I'm in agreement with Red Bull team principal Christian Horner, that's good enough for me.

Good to know. She has been with them for 177 races and they decide to put her on the podium for the first time to make history in a country where women rate right up there with goats. Sounds pretty stupid to me. Seriously, it couldnt wait until Spain? rolleyes.gif

I don't think racing teams should be making political statements, but I do like the ironic justice to the whole thing.

I agree with you, I just don't see it as political. I admit I could be wrong about that.

Thanks to the discussion here, I have setup the replay of the Long Beach Indy car race to record. I too am looking forward to Monaco. To me, it is the highlight of any F1 season.

Danica Patrick is an interesting case. She is a beautiful girl and I once thought she might be a truly gifted driver. Alas, it was not to be. Patrick, like Mozart's nemeses, Antonio Salieri, is doomed to be a mediocrity languishing in the shadow of the truly great race car drivers.

You wont be disappointed in that race.
I never have thought much of Danica. She is an ok driver but she is too whiny and acts like a crybaby too much. Typical woman if you will.
I tell you who I do like though. Simona de Silvestro. She has talent and I think she is going to be successful. She finally has a good car this year and is doing much better than ever before. You will see her at Long Beach.
Shes not as pleasing to the eyes as Danica though. biggrin.gif

Good catch Tack. When I read it earlier this morning, the disclaimer wasn't there. Deleted.
