Weird, I just looked up whiny b!tch in the dictionary, and there was this little picture of Tony Stewart.

No, but seriously, lay off NASCAR - they've got issues, and a proper gentleman doesn't bully his cab driver, they're just doing their job.

Eve: I thought I was through getting involved with men who were trouble. Falling in love on a look. I can't look at you.

Mickey: You have perfection about you. Your eyes have music. Your heart's the best part of your body. And when you move, every man, woman and child is forced to watch.

To be fair, we've done our share of F1 bashing in this thread(as have you). We make fun of Bernie, we pretty much all trashed the team order situ, made fun of crasher type pilots, etc.

If you want to see NASCAR hate, try a NASCAR forum and you'll see some real bitching. http://racing-forums.com/forums/nascar-chat.8/

By any way you measure it, Audi has been THE powerhouse of endurance racing this century.

Nope....I came across a series of pics on the net showing this newborn sleeping with French Bulldog puppies that is cutest damn thing I think I have ever seen.

Agreed, in this thread and that's fair game since this is the F1 thread, but as I said I don't go into the NASCAR threads and trash F1. I am a fan of all racing series, NASCAR included, and just want to keep the bashing of it or any other series out of this thread.

All series have good and bad things about them, can we at least agree on that?

Well, after a minute on Wiki, it appears that Mr. Clark did not win Le Mans.

Montoya has won Indy 500, Monaco, and 24 Hours of Daytona...not Le Mans.

I don't recall him ever competing at Le Mans.

I would have also voted AJ Foyt, but he did not win Monaco, I don't think.

A friend of mine who is somewhat of an amateur racing historian has passed me the correct answer, but I will let others try their hand at it.

Very cool of you. I am just trying to add some fun and fill in some time between races. And its always good to learn new things.
Im pretty sure Foyt didnt drive in F1.
I think you will agree that it is a name that everyone at this thread will recognize though.

Wiki does show that Foyt drove in F1 for three seasons; 1958 through 1960. He scored no points, and was listed as "unclassified" in the WDC standings. Not sure exactly what that means.

This was all before my time but it was very cool that top drivers would compete simultaneously across many different series.

See. Thats all part of the fun. I had no idea so I have learned something also. I will look around and get more detail. I have seen him several times at IndyCar races and really like him. Im glad to see his team doing so well this year.

I enjoyed the Long Beach race it was clear the team was focused on winning. Takuma Sato, (remember some of his insane passes and battles in F-1?) drove a flawless race. I still have great memories of the last Formula 1 race at Long Beach. biggrin.gif

Looks like the groundwork is really being laid for Kimi at RB:

Perez needs to understand the word "diplomacy" a little better:

Let's hope this doesn't get passed: http://www.gptoday.com/full_story/view/449568/FIA_to_reduce_a_cars_turbo_as_a_penalty_in_14/

On tracks that are difficult to pass, you would have a penalized car slowing down the train of cars behind him. How is that fair to the other drivers? It would be like a safety car eliminating gaps that drivers had worked for to put distance between them and the car(s) behind.
