You probably just have bad memory. And those were Senna fans, not McLaren fans you were seeing. They all jumped ship when Senna started driving for Williams.

No, Mr. Bond. I expect you to die!

You're way overdue to start a Tour de France 2013 thread.

Is this titled as the "Grand Prix Athletic" event this weekend? I can only find the replays of qualifying and the race.

Thanks

Guide data for recording Formula 1 has been the one big F^$%&-up on NBC's part. You have to stay two steps ahead to get everything.

The guide data for DirecTV that I can access on my iPhone shows the title is "Formula One Racing", airing at 7:30am Eastern time on channel 355.

I am pretty sure it was not listed that way on the actual DVR, and I can't double check right now.

I was luckier than you. I use the program guide provided by TiVo. TiVo gets its guide data from Tribune Media Services. Fortunately, the info provided for the British GP says, "Formula One Racing, 'British Grand Prix.'"

I just checked Cox OKC's own program guide for CNBC on Sunday morning and it also lists the race as "Formula One Racing." Please let us know what the DirecTV programming guide on your DVR says.

As you may or may not notice, I can't always keep up with this thread. It goes in spurts for me. NBC needs to fix their guide data to make automation more robust.

It matches what I saw from my iPhone app; "Formula One Racing".

Either the title has been updated since I first set-up the CNBC recording a few days ago, or I was simply mistaken that it referred to "Grand Prix". The good news is, anyone with a series recording/season pass thing based on the words "Formula One" should get it.

As far as messed up guide data, I am not sure the blame is squarely on NBC. I think much of the guide data we get comes from third parties. which occasionally have errors.

And don't forget, we all get to play the game again for Germany. :-)

I wish I could say it was the races that kept me away, but I'll have to blame it on my contracting assignments this time.

Not to go too far OT, but I was a long time Tivo user (1st box in '98), but DirecTV really dropped the ball on Tivo support, and when I needed an upgraded Sat Box to get the MP4 HD channels, I reluctantly went with D*'s solution. It has been serviceable, but I do miss my old Tivo (still in service on an SD TV in a spare room).

I will now return the thread to its regular scheduled discussion.....

They didn't show the replay of the crash? I either skimmed through it or it was a part that didn't record cause i never got to see it. Hopefully they take all trackside trees out.

What will happen when cars no longer run on gasoline? Will they try to make an artificial sound?? I remember Electric motorbikes running at the USGP I went to afew years ago at Laguna Seca

I see that Mark Webber isnt returning to F1 next year!!

He is a good driver who cant ever get a good start. If he wanted to leave Red Bull, i am still sorry to see him leave F1 though. Be interesting to see how Red Bull handles getting another driver. Do you want another number 1 type driver, or someone who will definetely be a number 2 to Seb?

They say Kimi is in the running for a Red Bull spot, i wonder how Vettel and he would do together.

This was in the cards, but good on Mark. As a Porsche owner and fan, I am happy to see him heading to Porsche for their Le Mans effort.

I personally lost all respect for Vettel after Malaysia, and I only hope that they put Raikonnen in the second car, rather than an unproven young driver. That said, I am sure Mr. Red Bull with not allow his golden boy to be challenged by someone who will clearly take no crap from anyone. Kimi + an Adrian Newey car? Yes please!

To bad about Weber going into what's it called GT2, or is Porsche going to try running with the big boys like Audi.
I just can't see the Ice Man in a Red Bull and to top that off I think the power will be shifting around a little in F1 with new turbos, its really hard to stay on top.

He is going to the LMP1 team that Porsche is assembling. There have already been shots of the car in testing.

Cool, now if a few more manufactures were to get involved it could be a fun series to fallow. And keep the GT cars at home.
