A new rule, and modified old new rule, so I guess that's a new old rule now.

Maybe, just maybe if they focused on the racing and not who's the quickest team on the pit stop the safety will return? We don't need to be entertained at the cost of another innocent persons life!

Thats good. A flying tire is potentially deadly. Its an easily avoidable situation if they just take the time to do it properly. They are so worried about saving a tenth of a second in the pits that they are putting everyone at risk of death. Hopefully this will keep them on their toes.

Lewis needs to put his "big boy" pants on and grow up! He has no idea that this is his way out. He also has no idea of the feelings involved if they had been married and with children, get over it please! His first real girlfriend in a long term relationship? They both are trying to focus on themselves and their careers. It's a blessing in disguise, he's just too young to know it yet.

Max Chilton was the last runner with a time, 1m 25.122s, having sounded an alarm with a potential Cosworth engine problem until he realised he’d pressed his Marussia’s pit lane speed limiter button instead of the one for KERS. eek.gif

Wouldnt that be a bummer. biggrin.gif

Very intense quali as always.
3 different makes in the top 3 will make the race very interesting.
Im curious to find out exactly what Webber is so pissed about. Seems to be more to it than a KERS failure.
Allan McNish is the driver steward.
Maybe Im finicky but I think Im warming up to Grosjean. He hasnt wrecked anyone this year and he seemed very humble and genuine in the post quali press conference.

Yep. Lewis' response when they told him he had P1 was priceless!

Agreed. "Pole?".
Theres more to the Webber deal. Technical and mechanical problems are part of racing. Vettel had no problems. Hmmm...
Its amazing how much data they get from telemetry these days. Seems they can tell when, for how long, how loud and at what speed it was when a driver farted. biggrin.gif

Yeah, I'm not Mr. conspiracy, but Weber has IMMENSELY more problems than Vettel.

I don't think RB is doing anything to his car, because Vettel can beat him regardless and they need the constructor points, but it is really strange that 98% of the problems on "the same cars", always end up on Mark's car.

The telemetry acquisition is very impressive. On the flip side of that, it always makes me scratch my head when they have that much data and can't seem to figure out problems.

Weber can't catch a break, tough year for him, probably wishes the season would end and he can get on with Porsche already. http://www.crash.net/f1/news/193973/1/ongoing_technical_gremlins_make_us_look_stupid_fumes_webber.html

For sure. The team wouldnt do anything on purpose. They want to win too. Maybe Marks team is just less competent.

Don't look now, but Mercedes has won three of the last five. Mercedes is also second in the constructors points standings (the one that matters). It is funny that Merc #1 driver would imply that this hasn't been a great year, when the stats seem to say something different. Take RB #1 out of the equation and the constructors and drivers championships would be close.

My new favorite game is Save The Titanic

Great race! Good for Hamilton.
First off, the closing rates on those Caterhams is scary. They shouldnt even be allowed to race. Does the 107% rule still apply?

I feel kinda bad for Grosjean. The stewards used no lubrication on that drive thru penalty. As much as I hated to see him pass Massa I thought it was a great pass. To his credit he didnt complain even though Buxton tried hard to get him to. I think he feels like hes still paying for past sins. He got beat up pretty bad last year and I think he just wants to race.

Raikkonen is one of those drivers that has a talent for making a car much wider than it really is. Great to see him hold off Vettel.

Very characteristic of Vettel to be locking his tires up in frustration because Raikkonen would not let him by like Webber always does. He even appealed to the team to complain to the stewards because he thought it wasnt fair that he should have to work so hard to pass Raikkonen. "Tell him to let the Champion through! How dare he!" lol

Thank God Rosberg broke down. That was good for Ferrari. Credit to Rosberg for pulling it completely out of the way so that it didnt affect the race even though he was on fire.

Raikkonen and Vettel seemed pretty friendly on the podium. Thats good to see.

Once again Lotus has a good day because they are so good on tires that they were able to do the race with 1 less stop.

Raikkonen jumps above Alonso for second now by 1 point. Vettel extends his lead to 38. Hamilton is starting to look like a contender.

Diffey said that Hamilton is the only driver to have at least 1 win in every season of his F1 career. Seems kinda crazy. Senna?

Interesting that Vettel said on the podium interview that Raikkonen just laughed at him when he accused Raikkonen of not leaving any room. That must be what they were talking about when Hamilton was being interviewed.

I guess 5th and 8th is about as good as could be expected from Ferrari. They were just beginning to do well with the tires and now all that has changed. Not too bad though. Would have been much worse if Massa had crashed out once again. Ferrari has a lot of work to do.

Hopefully something in the second half of the season will be atleast AS important as the tires. Its really kind of frustrating to see all these awesome cars just totally and completely at the mercy of who's best on tires.

So now the break.

No, Mr. Bond. I expect you to die!
