LOL.. Yeah, I enjoyed it.

That new assassin was intense! I was cringing during the opening fight scene at the gas station. All those broken arms eek.gif

What did Kai mean by "We are in this together." ? He wants Rebecca to be non-sexual?

Rabbit setup Hood!
It looks like Rabbit set Hood up the question is how and with who. We know Rabbit knew about the robbery and did something with the alarm system so Job could not override it. Hood gave Anna/Carrie the diamonds and caused enough chaos for her to get away. I believe she still had the diamonds when Hood got to Banshee. I seem to remember her digging them up from her garden but I don't remember her giving them to Hood or Hood likewise giving them to Job. Knowing how thorough Job is I find it hard to believe he would wait fifteen years to find out the diamonds were glass. He did say something about not having verified them prior to the robbery but that could be just a smokescreen. Did Carrie swap out the diamonds for glass? Was she using Hood to get at her father? Remember the robbery from the season opener? Everyone wondered who the traitor was. Expect those suspicions to be amped up.

Horror show - no doubt. The clean up scene was telling, but we knew this guy was on
Proctor's wavelength. Dangerous, etc. etc. like many of the characters in the story.

This only works when they move the action along and only hint from time to time.
The extended scene was not needed IMO, but people are slow, so I guess they wanted to
hammer it home. Not like they didn't do that a few times.

I find it pretty hard to believe that Burton would do such a thorough cleaning , stripping the bed and remaking it, and miss a watch that falls to the floor when the door closes. Then again I find it hard to believe that a bunch of rednecks would break off a mirror on a car at a gas station. But hey it's Banshee.

The new assassin apparently wasn't trained by Ra's al Ghul as he didn't mind his surroundings.

An OK episode tonight. Needs more fighting! haha

I didn't understand the corruption with the Indian tribe. Why did Proctor help Alex? Aren't they enemies per se?

Because Alex is letting Proctor get in on the Casino. Remember the beginning of last week's episode when Alex came to the strip club to ask Proctor for help?

I watch anything from Alan Ball. Great show, but Ivana Milicevic acting all vulnerable and helpless just didn't work for me.

I sort of bought how Ivana Milicevic's character, Carrie, was portrayed. She seemed pretty vulnerable for a while but when she realized that she was going to need money for her son's asthma treatments, she immediately brow beat Hoon into agreeing to carry out another robbery with her. That didn't strike me as very vulnerable.

Banshee is a typical Cinemax actioner, heavy on action and light on subtlety but I enjoy it. As the show has gone on I have become more and more impressed with Antony Starr as Sheriff Hood. The guy manages to be charming while convincingly portraying a thug.

Agree - She still has her skills, but she added a dynamic to her life and cares for it.
Not a thing wrong with the duality, if that's what it is. Hood is adjusting to this and that's
one of the interesting aspects of the story. Thug? It's more about Thief with skills meets
common life and adjusts.

I stand by my characterization of Hood as a "thug." In this week's show, Hood proved that he is a thug one more time when he was confronted by the would be security guard in Kai Procter's joint. When the security guard started to become hostile, Hood proceeded to beat him within an inch of his life. Although Hood is no longer a full time criminal, he still is willing to use violence when necessary. I agree entirely, though, that Hood seems to be doing a good job of using many of the skills he learned as a criminal and jailbird in his law enforcement efforts.

Hood's a thug .. but he plays it so over the top and so outside the law, it's almost funny in a strange way .. you can just about count on a beat down in every episode .. just like on Strike Back you can count on something getting blown up .. and on both shows, they always get the girl .. wink.gif

Speaking of blowing something up, the fiery destruction of Kai's drug lab tickled me to death. Don't mess with Hood and his henchmen. Hood clearly has Kai's attention. Kai seems to be having more and more trouble with his anger management issues, as his own henchmen have been learning, to their detriment.

What impressed me about that scene, is they actually blew up a real building instead of going the CGI route. smile.gif

I thought the scene was pretty well done .. maybe a little cliché with the delay in the C4 detonation, but I'm all in with the destruction ..

I've got to add that Lili Simmons as Rebecca Bowman is just hot, hot, hot .. and the tension between her and Proctor you could cut with a blade .. is she his protégé .. ?? is he teaching her the business .. ?? will they eventually hook up .. ??

And Hood's backstory, especially the prison bit with "The Albino" was really over the top ..

I thought Carrie's vulnerability was believable and well played. She can't beat up her son's asthma and there is the very real possibility that between being in jail and the tension between her and Gordon has stressed out Max to the point that his condition has worsened a lot faster than they thought it would. Her daughter saying that the whole family is effed up probably didn't help either. She did snap out of it though like gswat said and planned another heist. Now if only someone had a duffel bag full of cash. Surprised the diamonds issue never came up. Loved the look on the deputies faces when Hood sized up the security around Proctor's warehouse in about two seconds. Also like how Hood is somewhat playing by the law when it comes to the clubs, and then going totally off the rails when it comes to Proctor's drug operation.
