Nice finale, I had no idea until I saw the #bansheefinale...that kinda gave it away.

Very good, and I'm glad they are moving the story along. Brutal ending, can't believe season 2 flew by so quickly!. wtf?

Major kudos to the writing staff, I loved how the back story weaved into the present and back, I am in awe......

But we kinda saw the back story over the past two season here and there
It felt like a recap until the last 10 minutes and then WOW

and they almost showed us what I knew was cumming

Bought a new TV and remodeled the room. Did not watch tonight's episode.

Damn 1080p ruins things! Technology has changed in 10 years and I haven't caught up. My whole system (besides the TV) needs to be upgraded rolleyes.gif

Figured I'd try the Denon route. AVR, DVD, Blu Ray, etc. all being Denon. I've had good luck with the company..

I had no idea church pews could deflect AR/AK/T9 bullets so well. Not even a scratch on our heroes! But hey, he's the sheriff and it's only TV. The chicks are cool. I look forward to Ky paying up next year, too.

Where's Raylan when you need him? I'll get another beer.

Love the show and thought this season was very good. Wasn't sure why they got all those rifles and didn't use a single one. A little tired of the last second interventions. Really liked the flashbacks and glad that the Rabbit plot is finally over. Also glad that Ana and Hood seemed to have moved on though Deva is going to be interesting. Not sure I liked the Rebekah business with Alex and the incest thing is a bit repulsive even though these are actors. Rebekah still seems like a lost little girl and her decisions and changes seem icky. Job has to be back next season. As with last time, a bunch of new stuff on the horizon. Can't wait until next season.

Jerry. Just remember. Its not a lie . . . if you believe it. GC

Wow...just about everything bad that's happened is all Hood's fault. Directly and indirectly. Rabbit's vendetta, Jason's fate, Emmett and wife, stripper informant...Being around him is dangerous.

And I realized, I don't think his real name was mentioned in those flashbacks. Don't say what it is if you know, I probably will rewatch the whole thing again at a later date.

The plan is to keep that little bit secret until the end or middle of the 4th/5th season.
There might have been a little pre-Rabbit history hint in the finale, but no reference to a name wink.gif

The producers/creators have stated they are not even sure they know his name. Of course they do but they are being coy about it. Interesting finale sets up next season with a lot of room to move the story about. Just the Dava/ Hood dynamic will be interesting, and then there's Rebeka and Proctor. Can't see Job not coming back though. Now the wait is on.

Interesting to see Hoon Lee (JOB) on Blacklist last night. He played an entirely different character. I was so used to seeing him as Job.

I enjoyed seeing Hoon Lee in last night's The Blacklist too. It's fair to say that the guy has a lot of range. Back to Banshee for a moment though, I continue to revel in the show's unrivaled combination of over the top stupidity and violence. I am ashamed to say that this kind of stuff works for me. To establish my bona fides, I should add that I like Strike Back and The Walking Dead equally well. smile.gif

Lee helps make the show, IMO .. and as far as unrivaled combination of over the top stupidity and violence, we're in that together .. however, I am not ashamed to say it .. tongue.gif .. oh, and let's not forget the sex, an apparent requirement on any Cinemax series ..

Absolutely right! After all, how good can any TV show be that doesn't appeal to prurient interests. smile.gif

I'll miss my Cinemax Friday's frown.gif

They need to have more original series. There's like three of them. Strike Back, Banshee, and Hunted.

As much as I have loved Strike Back and Banshee, I thought Hunted was an epic fail. Its cancellation didn't bother in the least. There has been some talk of a spinoff series featuring Melissa George's Sam Hunter. Although "Sam Hunter" is one of my favorite names (smile.gif) I've seen enough of George as an intrepid spy.

Hey, I agree! I lost interest after the 2nd or 3rd episode.

Finally caught up with this show. I think maybe it's time to stop underrating this show. They've really got a solid show. It will be moving up on my list for sure when it comes watch time. Finale was great. The whole thing with Yawners was horrible.

"Banshee" Season 3 - Press Release and January episode information
By DarkUFO | Friday, December 19, 2014 | spoilertv.com

EMMY®-WINNING SERIES BANSHEE RETURNS FOR
THIRD SEASON JAN. 9, EXCLUSIVELY ON CINEMAX

BANSHEE returns for its ten-episode third season FRIDAY, JAN. 9 (10:00-11:00 p.m. ET/PT), exclusively on CINEMAX. The Emmy®-winning show is executive produced by Jonathan Tropper, Peter Macdissi, Alan Ball and Greg Yaitanes.

The show stars Antony Starr (“Wish You Were Here”) as Lucas Hood, an ex-con and master thief who assumes the identity of the sheriff of Banshee, Pa., where he continues his criminal pursuits while enforcing his own code of justice.

Other returning cast regulars include: Ivana Milicevic (“Untitled Cameron Crowe Project,” HBO’s “Mind of the Married Man”) as Carrie Hopewell, a notorious jewel thief who lives in Banshee under an assumed identity with her family, which has recently learned of her criminal past; Ulrich Thomsen (“The Celebration”) as Kai Proctor, an intimidating, wealthy businessman who believes he is above the law; Frankie Faison (“The Good Wife,” HBO’s “The Wire”) as Sugar Bates, a powerful and wise former boxer and ex-con who is now the owner of the local watering hole; and Hoon Lee (“The Blacklist”) as Job, a dangerous transvestite computer hacker who assists Lucas and Carrie in their criminal enterprises.

Returning cast regulars also include: Rus Blackwell (HBO’s “Recount”) as Gordon Hopewell, Banshee’s district attorney-turned-mayor; Matt Servitto (HBO’s “The Sopranos”) as Brock Lotus, Lucas’ long-suffering veteran deputy; Trieste Kelly Dunn (“Brothers and Sisters”) as Siobhan Kelly, Lucas’s deputy and new girlfriend; Ryann Shane (“Blue Bloods”) as Deva, the Hopewell’s daughter, who is rattled after learning that Lucas fathered her; Lili Simmons (HBO’s “True Detective”) as Rebecca Bowman, who has been taken under the wing of her uncle, Kai Proctor, and is looking to assume a larger role in his criminal activities; Odette Annable (“House, M.D.”) as Nola Longshadow, a Native American assassin out to avenge her brother’s killing; and Geno Segers (“Teen Wolf”) as Chayton Littlestone, the Kinaho tribe’s imposing leader.

New cast regulars include Langley Kirkwood (“Black Sails”) as Col. Douglas Stowe, a duplicitous Marine leader, and Afton Williamson (“Nashville”) as Alison Medding, Banshee’s new assistant district attorney.

New guest stars include Denis O’Hare (HBO’s “True Blood”; “American Horror Story”) as FBI Special Agent Robert Phillips, looking to bring Lucas to justice; Chaske Spencer (“Twilight: New Moon”) as Billy Raven, a Kinaho tribe member hired as a new deputy; Tom Pelphrey as Kurt Bunker, a reformed skinhead who applies for the job of deputy at the Banshee sheriff’s department; and Meaghan Rath as Aimee King, the last remaining deputy at the corruption-riddled Kinaho Reservation police department.

BANSHEE was created by Jonathan Tropper (“This Is Where I Leave You”) and David Schickler (“Kissing in Manhattan”); executive producers, Alan Ball (HBO’s “True Blood” and the Emmy®-winning “Six Feet Under”), Greg Yaitanes (Emmy® winner for directing “House, M.D.”), Jonathan Tropper, Peter Macdissi (“Towelhead,” HBO’s “Six Feet Under”); producer, Robert F. Phillips (“Kingdom Hospital”). Scripts were written by Jonathan Tropper, Halley Gross (“Broad City”), Justin Britt-Gibson (“The Strain”), Adam Targum (“CSI: NY”), Christopher Kelley (“The Wreck of the Unfathomable”), Jennifer Ames (HBO’s “Boardwalk Empire”) and Steve Turner (HBO’s “Boardwalk Empire”). Directors for the new season include Greg Yaitanes, Loni Peristere (“Buffy the Vampire Slayer”), Magnus Martens (”Nattskiftet”) and OC Madsen (“Edderkoppen,” “Flame and Citron”).

Here is a summary regarding the season premier episode. Spoilers?

Episode #21: “The Fire Trials”
Debut: FRIDAY, JAN. 9 (10:00-11:00 p.m. ET/PT)
Other CINEMAX playdates: Jan. 9 (11:00 p.m., midnight, 2:20 a.m.), 10 (9:00 p.m., midnight) 11 (5:00 p.m.), 12 (8:00 p.m., 11:00 p.m.) and 14 (9:00 p.m., 1:25 a.m.)
