I'm liking it. I thought I was done with watching medical shows years ago, and I could not stand the cutsey doctors and nurses on Grey's Anatomy. But this one is different enough and has good actors. I'm hooked after the second episode.

Alfred Molina is great as Dr. Hooten, who holds a bruising and savage "Morbidity and Mortality" conference for his residents and student doctors every Monday morning. It is a character driven drama and the second episode was better than the first.

Hoping they can keep it up.

Big fan here also. It's my House replacement. I gave up on Grey's Anatomy after the first two seasons.

Really best though are the Terrance Wrong's documentary hospital series, Hopkins 24/7, Boston Med, and NY Med.

Ditto, though I stuck with "Grey's" until Katherine Heigl departed. Love the show, though I think a little more humor wouldn't hurt. Still, I love the intensity. And I want a t-shirt with "Not do: die" on it.

Walking the fine line between jaw-dropping and a plain ol' yawn.

Another winner from DEK with just the right balance of drama & comedy. Definitely better than his weak effort on NBC. biggrin.gif

P.S.: Definitely love the Monday Morning beatdown. No doctor wants to hear the dreaded words "Join me onstage" because even though the hurt is harsh it's always true. cool.gif

Another good episode. I'm really surprised to see Dr. Park (Keong Sim) stealing the glory from Dr. Wilson (Jamie Bamber) and Dr. Ridgeway (Jennifer Finnegan). He and Dr. Napur (Sarayu Rao) are intriguing, well-written characters, whereas Dr. Wilson and Dr. Ridgeway and Dr. Robidaux are plain vanilla.

However Alfred Molina owns the show. He's incredible.as Dr. Hooten, the merciless Grand Inquisitor.

I liked the part where the brain surgeon was tuning his brain to the violin. eek.gif

Also good was when Ving Rhames got the confession from his son's stabber. Never criticize another's baklava. cool.gif

This show continues to amaze me. Last night it was pitch perfect (no pun intended).

Oddly compelling show for TNT. Cleverly written, like things said about Ving seem to be referencing his film career, but Ving himself is playing against type (and seems a little uncomfortable at it.)

Love the Korean guy, non-stop laughs with him. And another example of clever writing - he could have been reduced to a broken english "goofy neighbor" role, but in fact his words reduce the issue down to its basic rationality. "What's the worst case scenario?" "Dead." I looked him up and he actually has a comedic background, being a comedy mentor at a non-profit comedy improv group.

Is there a story on the blond guy's foot? I missed the first few episodes, but get the idea there's something there I don't know.

Eve: I thought I was through getting involved with men who were trouble. Falling in love on a look. I can't look at you.

Mickey: You have perfection about you. Your eyes have music. Your heart's the best part of your body. And when you move, every man, woman and child is forced to watch.

All I can tell is that it seems to happen when he gets nervous.

Finally someone gives back at the meeting. All in all, thought last nite's episode was good. Moved fast and didn't dwell on soapy stuff.

Loved the robot. Wonder how they got rid of the time delay.

Good episode but Finnegan and the other guy's storyline seem too much out of General Hospital. Missed Buck the transplant guru and ex great Serial Killer on CSI, LOL.

This show is like Southland in that packs a lot of good stories in its' 43-44 minutes. Other shows, like AMC's The Walking Dead could have made two episodes out the brain dead patient. Perhaps even an entire season.

I watched what was supposed to be the season finale last night off the DVR. Has the show been confirmed to be nixed? Could the Chief possibly be in 2 shows or can they get another chief?

A doctor friend clued me into this show way too late so I've only been able to see the last 5 episodes. She hated House because it was so absurd medically (and dangerously misleading in her opinion) but loved MM because it struck a good balance between personal and hardball medical issues. I fully agree. The show is outstanding. I'm hoping that the first 5 episodes will be repeated or put up on On Demand but nothing so far.
