I remember seeing somewhere that one S1 episode was pulled, but all 13 seem to be on Prime VOD...

I also seem to remember a SOA episode that aired pretty close to an actual shooting, though FX is obviously less squeamish about violence in general...

They touched on it in a previous epsidoe, but they didn't fully explain it.

IIRC in previous season they talked about Bedelia being attacked by a patient. It seems now that it was not a clear cut case of self defense and Hannibal helped her concoct a story.

I hope this show is shot in 4k and eventually we will see a 4k release.

I love the new season's first episode.

Finally, more Hannibal and less investigative procedure...

The cinematography and editing are incredible.

The way Hannibal stepped right in after Bedelia killed the patient suggests that he set the stage for that event to occur, either by manipulating the patient or manipulating her.

I have yet to see the 2nd episode of season 3 but the premiere was nothing short of great. It's a shame so few watched it. I'm concerned this show won't see a fourth season. If it does get picked up by Amazon or Netflix should it be cancelled, I hope there isn't too much of a delay between seasons.

I have a feeling the ratings will drop ever further this season, as they move even farther away from a killer of the week / procedural show and into full psycho opera mode.

Second episode wasn't great. Honestly, hardly anything happens in it at all. I still like the show, but I hope it picks up.

Patience, young Padawan. They're just "setting the table", as it were. The full buffet will be coming soon, I'm sure. This show has been nothing but brilliant from the first ep. As long as the network didn't carve up their budget for this season, there's no reason to think Fuller will let us down.

sad to see ratings are at an all time low even with the later start date this year and the new Thursday timeslot...hate to say it but it looks like Season 3 might be the last

Most people probably are doing delayed viewing. Unfortunately the 1st episodes fell against monster ratings from NBA finals. Hoping to see an increase this week or next. This show has never really been huge on ratings, luckily it is cheaper for NBC due to its funding.

sounds like an interesting show...not sure it'll translate well from book to screen but I trust Fuller...so does this put the final nail in the coffin as far as a Season 4 for Hannibal?...maybe but I think the low ratings will play a bigger part

Should't have any impact on the renewal of Hannibal. Greg Berlanti has 6 shows on next year (Flash, Arrow, Blindspot, Legends of Tomorrow, Supergirl, Mysteries of Laura), Dick Wolf has three Chicago shows plus SVU, Shonda Rhimes has four shows next year. Bryan Fuller looks downright lazy compared to those juggernauts!

Neither Berlanti, Wolf nor Rhimes are the actual show-runners for any of the series they produce (at least, not anymore). They have each essentially become production "brands" that help get new shows launched and then leave them in other people's hands to do the day-to-day work.

Fuller isn't that kind of producer. He has never been very prolific, and he has a lot of difficulty keeping shows on the air, even when he does one at a time. I worry that he'll spread himself too thin if he tries to juggle both Hannibal and American Gods.

Hannibal is the first show he's created that has made it past two seasons, and it just barely did so.

I stopped watching around the beginning of season two. I set up a series recording for this season just in case I wanted back in although so far I have only made it through a few minutes of the first episode. I like the fact that this show is aired as it adds some diversity and one can't argue it has (its own) style.

However as I have posted in the past I think it would have played great as a movie or mini-series. For me there is zero investment in the characters. After a season I couldn't have cared less what happened to any of them. Style only goes so far even if it is well done and or different. Without any investment in the characters after a while regardless of how stylish it may be it's rather boring. There is always something I care about more waiting to be viewed...

Enjoyed last nights episode, we are starting to move forward as all of the parties "arrive". This show continues to be axing to look at and listen to.

Absolutely love the show. Even though it is pretentious, it is lusciously filmed and langurous.

Bryan Fuller actually tells his directors they are making a pretentious art film. I say mission accomplished. They should ease up a bit

I still enjoy it.

Fine with me to tell them to make an art film. Compared to many European TV shows US products are rather lame and dumbed down. Of course DeLaurentis is a European production company though doesn't seem to like the idea of at least licensing the show to Hulu as it has in the past.
