only 2 pages of posts for this excellent show??...Vera Farmiga and Freddie Highmore are fantastic as Norma and Norman...the atmosphere and 'Psycho' mythology are first rate...last week's premiere seemed more like a table-setter for the upcoming season

was that Bates Motel: After Hours show a one time deal?...I don't see it in my Guide listing this week?

Unfortunately, very few episodes. They just started back up a week or so ago. frown.gif

Vera is hot. Nice change from the typical 20 year olds.

Abundant OTA television is what makes this country different from all others. Lets keep it this way. If you like Wi-Fi so much, OTA fits right in. After all, it is wireless.

the first 6 episodes this season have been a mixed bag...so many new characters and storylines that I'm hoping will all payoff by the finale...whenever the show moves away from Norman and Norma and focuses on Dylan and his drug buddies or the bypass or Cody etc the show suffers...the only constant is the fantastic performances by Vera Farmiga and Freddie Highmore...Bates Motel is probably always going to be uneven and disjointed and occasionally forced, but the two lead roles are so strongly conceived that even at the show’s worst, there’s always something to enjoy

There is some jumping around and abrupt story line changes, but this isn't the only 'series' that does it. Scandal does it also. The next episode, events have happened with little telling the viewer when they did.

Anyway, Vera is hot. Since to see actors that are over 35 for a change instead of the usual teenyboppers. wink.gif

Just finished season 2 and agree that it was all over the place. Too many new characters and story lines. Like, WTF happened to Emma's pot-dealing BF that was staying at the Bates after she jumped in the quarry basin?!? He just disappeared, but they devoted half an hour developing the character. For what?

That said, I'm keeping it in the queue, and am looking forward to next season.
